People used to sleep in this kind log barns during summer time.
I remember the smell of hay, the birds singing ealry in the morning.... and the magpies they always woked me up.... and rain drops on the roof.... wanted to sleep the whole day..
This is the start of the route. The old cat track cuts off the logging road here and heads towards the ridge.
My friend Avice is knitting this Log Cabin variation for her niece. She is using Lamb's Pride Worsted - I love the color palette she chose!
Spotted this derelict log barn somewhere between Merrickville and North Agusta last summer. The later large addition behind it does not look much better.

Pawnee Bill was a Western showman much like Buffalo Bill; as a matter of fact for about five years in the early 1900's they were business partners and toured their shows together.
