Log processors forced people out of the woods. The chainsaw companies went nuts. The machines fell, limb, measure and cut. This is a detail of the head that holds and moves the tree for processing. Stay 300 feet back when in operation.

I found the Professor. Well, what's left of him anyways...
It looks like he's breathing very shallowly, dying slowly. His wound must be fresh, but not horribly so. It looks like he's been cauterized at his waist.
Not much I can do for him, out in the middle of the ocean with a malfunctioning com system and all.
Suddenly, he starts screaming, but I don't understand the words. I manage to get a recording:
"Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"
Does this have something to do with what happened to him? I wish I knew what it meant.
He just lays there, screaming that phrase over and over again. Then, just like that, he stops. His breathing is barely audible.
I lay Paul's com by the Professor and send out an SOS. Hopefully, someone will get it.
I start to head out. I don't want to get caught by whatever got the Professor.
This is all so weird. I wish I knew the meaning behind what he said...
Fourth in a series. Sorry this one was so delayed.

A guardrail located in the Rocky Mountains, a visitor log for everyone that has passed through the region.
Log details like the ones in this Vilas County home, give the house an authentic rustic look and northwoods charm.
A fresh layer of dry pampas grass is abouut to be added. The birch logs showed a range of colinization from mycelium. Shittake. Excited to fruit the well colonized ones next spring.
Masig (york) to Maer islands is a cruise of about 70km due east. Mostly unsurveyed, so slow speed and vigilance were essential. We had to back of several times to prevent dinting the coral… and our vessel! When we reached the group of 3 islands the a spectacular view befell us …. Marvellous steep rugged volcanic geology so different from al the sand cay islands we had become accustomed to of late. We found a tolerable anchorage behind Wainer Island and had fun shooting some pics a sunset.

I've built this little log cabin in Blender. I imagined a scene in a forest somewhere, and a log cabin always comes in handy.
Rendered in Poser.
