With the bulb on my front bike light having blown, my plan to go out and try and get some photos of the fireworks for this years Divali celebrations were scuppered. Despite the terrible weather they were far better than any Guy Fawkes celebrations this year. So I tried to shoot some from the upstairs window instead. I had little luck in getting any fireworks but did some nice night shots as the clouds cleared from the downpour half an hour before.

Taken in Rome a couple of years ago
I have been contemplating a Lockdown2 series of self portraits. A little research shows me that there are not many older women who do this, and I am notorious for not wanting my photo taken, so I am not too sure if I can manage many....I don't want to look like an odd fish in the bowl of the young, vain and beautiful, but it seems like a perfect project for the time, and for someone with little self regard.

The classic view of the chapel from Clumber bridge.
Vandalised a couple of years ago by some yobs in a stolen car, the bridge has been painstakingly restored using original pieces retrieved from the lake and new sections custom made for the bridge.

Day 3 and I went to Leonardslee Gardens and Lakes with my neighbour.
It was lovely to see so many families out enjoying the Autumn sunshine at such difficult times. Also lovely that all the gardens and garden centres are allowed to stay open through lockdown. Plus the corona legislation allows us to exercise with one other person from another household. We decided to go in our own cars even though we are neighbours as the cars would be the equivalent of indoor space.

After work walk, down an empty and mostly closed High Street.
It was too windy for the tripod, but should calm down later in the week and I'll try to get some better photos then.
