I am suffering from repeat migraines again - just what I need for lockdown2! And there is a gorgeous woodpecker on the apple tree and my camera is not to hand - Rats!!! First time I have seen one here!
I did this walk on the last day of (relative) freedom before Lockdown 2. It is a nice country pub, the Fox and Hounds at Christmas Common.

I suspect that at the moment there will be many people longing to be in another place in terms of brighter times. Thankfully Lockdown 2.0 in the U.K. at least allows for unlimited exercise, something that I was very grateful for this weekend.
We had a lovely mist in York and the autumn colours were wonderful.

Retford on a market day - only about half a dozen stalls, when usually it's a bustling scene.

View looking back towards castle drogo on the hunters path. Was my first visit here with the frost on the ground and mist rolling in.
With the bulb on my front bike light having blown, my plan to go out and try and get some photos of the fireworks for this years Divali celebrations were scuppered. Despite the terrible weather they were far better than any Guy Fawkes celebrations this year. So I tried to shoot some from the upstairs window instead. I had little luck in getting any fireworks but did some nice night shots as the clouds cleared from the downpour half an hour before.

Developed with Adox APH 09 (Rodinal), 10min/20°. Ilford rapid fixer 4+1 at 5min/20°.
Dilution 1:50, agitation the first minute then 1 per minute.

A visit down to the local river this morning and to find these lovely pastel colours and the boat was beautiful to see. there was a slight mist rolling in but didnt make it all the way up the river.
