Dirty fingers from sorting. Oh, and I didn't get lead poisoning from setting type, i got it from putting my oil painting brushes in my mouth. So don't worry, oh blossoming letterpressers! You won't be compromised by type metal. You will however, have a hard time if you don't have a sense of humour about lead poisoning jokes.
Day 142 of 365
now, see, I can actually be sort of good at this when I put effort into it, right? Right??!!?
Can I mention that I love this? And that it was fun? And that my nose doesn't look huge for once... that makes me happy.
I'm actually feeling a little better today! YAY! I've been sick for, like, a month. Okay, like, two weeks, but still...
So this morning I finished reading (ie: I laid in bed all night reading almost all of) Living Dead In Dallas by Charlaine Harris... uuunnnhhhhggg.... FUCK I love her. If I ever saw that woman I would fall to my knees and bow down to her.
As a writer I tend to get really enthusiastic about famous writers who CAN ACTUALLY WRITE *cough Stephanie Meyer is a hack cough cough*.
But yeah, I LOOOVEOEOVOEVOOVEEEE the Sookie Stackhouse books now. I'm really mad that I was unable to go get Club Dead today... I'm sort of dying slowly without it. I need it. I must know what happens.
Has anyone read them? If so, I really need to know whether you prefer Bill or Eric and is it weird that I like Eric better? Especially the whole spandex thing... cracked me up.
Actually, I think it's just that his name is Eric. I have to love characters named Eric - it just always happens. And I have a friend named Eric whom I... admire. I think that's the right word for it anyway. I think very highly of him, we'll put it that way. So, yeah, Eric's are just the shit (Eric Sinclair? Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid... yes?)
But really, I love Eric Northman... if he turns out to be evil or something I'll be so pissed.
Though, for the record, I do like Bill a lot. And he's the reason I call Lily Bill all the time. I called her "Vampire cat" around the time I started reading the first SS novel, (because she used to bite people on the neck - evil cat) and then I started calling her Bill the vampire. So, now she's Bill...
And if you haven't read them - you should. They're about vampire and supernatural things, but they're also mystery novels, and romance novels... something for everyone ;)
Oh - new question - is True Blood any good? I can't imagine liking choices on characters... because I've seen them and they aren't how I picture.
Also, I really want to read Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. Has anyone read that? Is it as scary and gross as I think it's going to be? I heard 25 people passed out at a reading of the part Guts. I read the plot of it, and I totally don't blame them. I probably will, too. (If you don't know what it's about, don't look it up. It will scar you for life. Seriously. I know it's tempting when someone tells you not to do something, but it's just really gross and will make you squirm.)
And lastly, I want to read Post Secret by Frank Warren. I visited the website and read the postcards on it and loved it, so I'm hoping the book will be like that. I like other people's secrets.
Um, anyway, what did that have to do with this picture? Nothing? Oh.
Oh, no, it almost did... I was just thinking that my haircut (that I just did today, and you can't tell in the picture because of the mask, I'm sorry) makes me look like my Jolee. Soooo... where's Dane?
Also, my hair sort of went back to blonde? I'm not exactly sure how this happened.
two more in comments if I can figure out how to do it - I'm not always the brightest tack in the shed.
and view this BOB or NAA!
I couldn't decide between black and white and color on this image. A window detail on a wooden building found in a field, in Indiana County Pennsylvania just outside of Rossiter.
It was filled with wooden milk crates and rustling sounds.

For Comp Corner- under lock & key...
My first thoughts for this image were similar to certain other mucky-minded perverts in the group :-) But being unable to get my hands on and think of a 'nice' way to present a Chastity belt I found this Garter with the handcuffs and made do!
The original garter is Ivory but the shot works much better in Mono. It took me a long time to get the tone right here and don't talk to me about the 'Greys'... I went through 50 of 'em to get this particular shade! ;-))
I was recently wandering the museums at the Tower of London and some of the chastity belts there were horrific! No amount of prettifying would have made a decent image! :-)) None the less it was something our Knights of Old were keen to keep safely under Lock and Key!
With thanks to Bromley Brides for the 5 minute loan.
