I decided to share another try of this vintage chinese lock. Idea popped up during the upcoming #macromondays theme called #key
Even in little world the job gets tough from time to time. Some has stolen the chinese mini key for the Macro Mondays Challenge and my tiny little helper ha tto fix the lock manually :)
A Chinese mini key typically refers to a small, traditional key used with vintage-style Chinese padlocks. These are common for decorative boxes, antique-style furniture, or small chests.

My submission for 52frames. Subject: "In the middle".
_______________
I know that I haven't been on as much. To be honest, I've been busy and when I am doing a photo site I'm doing my 52frames challenges.. *which is what this is* or personal photo sessions for clients.
I am aware that I am very behind on comments... and here and there I hop on and I return some.. but I am still active, just not as much as I'd like.
Honestly when I am on the computer (its only in the morning) UNLESS I have a client's photos to take care of, then I will jump on in the evenings. But Juan and I save evenings mostly for OUR time to cuddle and watch movies together.. (Netflix, Hulu & Tubi). We love movies in the evening together. It's kind of like OUR time. And in the day time, I do my errands so I literally am only on the laptop in the mornings.
Anyway, I am doing well. Much happier and at peace with everything. I'm ready for Christmas *finally*. Just have to wrap the gifts. We are going to have a great Christmas this year, and for that I am very grateful.
I hope that you all have a fantastic holiday!
I'll be 35 on New Years Day. *Time flies* Most of my life was spent in addiction.. It feels almost like I woke up and I was 32 (about to be 33). And that kind of sucks. But I'm grateful that I made it out alive. It's just weird, like 'where did all of that time go?'. But I'm here now, and that's ALL that matters.
Grateful every day. Praising God daily. I couldn't have done it without him. Juan and I are both so grateful. Thanks again everryone. God bless and happy holidays!
Six weeks into lockdown in the UK, during the Coronavirus Covid 19 pandemic, and many people are getting restless and wondering when we are going to come out of lockdown. Our Government are due to make an announcement next week and stipulate that 5 criteria musts be met.
1. NHS must be able to cope and provide sufficient care
2. Evidence showing a sustained and consistent fall in daily death rates
3. Reliable data showing the rate of infection is decreasing to manageable levels.
4. Confidence enough tests and PPE are at hand to use
5. Confidence any adjustments won’t trigger a second peak
When will this be achieved and what will life look like in this next phase?

What you see is a chinese mini key to unlock an ancient and traditional Chinese lock. The lenght of the lock is 2,5 cm = 1"

Group: Macro Mondays Theme: Secrets
I keep my secrets safely guarded, sometimes to be shared on a one-on-one basis, or through a deep, social interrogation over a long sit with a cup of coffee or on a long walk taking in some of nature’s wonders.
Besides, if I told you any of my secrets now, well…I’d just have to kill you.
So for now, it starts off small like this. And maybe someday, I’ll undertake a Secrets project here on Flickr.

Kwikset was founded in 1946 by Adolf Schoepe and Karl Rhinehart.
Schoepe born in Berkenroth, Germany emigrated to the US in 1927. He spoke no English. He worked for various companies, Curtis Aviation in Missouri, Spartan Aircraft in Oklahoma. and then the Goodyear Company in Ohio.
In 1946 he and his friend Karl Rhinehart, founded Gateway Manufacturing Company. Schoepe obtained patents on a number of technical innovations on lock designs. They bought out a small defunct lock company in California, and began manufacturing the Kwikset, a line of door locks. Kwiket became the most common brand of locks in the United States and was later bought by Black and Decker.
As for Mr. Schoepe he went on and founded Fluidmaster, Inc., an aftermarket toilet tank repair kit which became another successful company. I suppose you could say he was flushed with success.
I thought I'd tell you that to make my boring picture a little more interesting :)

i had a wonderful weekend =) and this was taken on a moving bus, so hopefully its still decent.
For his final photograph at the Pacific Ocean Turtle chose to stand on a stone seat which offered amazing views out onto the cold waters that stretched off into the horizon.
"I has really enjoyed my times and travels here in the Pacifics North Wests, I just loves standings and watchings the waves on the Pacifics Ocean, and looks forward to seeing where we can goes visit next".
If only Turtle knew that Mireille has plans to keep us all under lock and key for a while when we return to Aachen next weekend I think he'd have stifled the second part of his sentence ;)

Bradley's Locksmith has some interesting hand-painted signs outside their shop on State St. east of Wright Square. They are a family business which has operated from the same building for multiple generations. Here are some of the painted messages:

Love how sharp this turned out. I'm having more success with the close-up lens on my new Lomo' Instant Wide +. Fuji Instax Wide film + bulb setting.
Antique lock and key...a gift from my daughter. Added to a few bits of pieced-together chain, this is now a favorite necklace.
