The image showcases two symmetrical tuck locks with exposed keyholes, emphasizing their robust and practical design. These locks are often used in secure containers, cabinets, and industrial systems where reliable mechanical security is paramount. Featuring intricate metal keyways and lock cores, they employ precision engineering to ensure high resistance against tampering and unauthorized access. The close-up view highlights the fine craftsmanship and durability of these lock mechanisms, demonstrating their essential role in safeguarding valuable items.

"It’s a lot easier to be lost than found. It’s the reason we’re always searching, and rarely discovered — so many locks, not enough keys."

How true.

used totally rad textures on this whole set... LOVE EM!

Though the clientele at Obica Mozzarella Bar seemed to consist largely of foreigners and tourists, who cares. The food was wonderful and without doubt presented the best foot forward for Tuscan cuisine on our trip.

I'm not sure though why the wine cellar had to be under lock and key. I guess it has something to do with the fact that the wine is accessed by the same path that everyone takes to go to the bathroom.

The arts and crafts of Bhutan that represents the exclusive spirit and identity of the Himalayan kingdom is defined as the art of Zorig Chosum, which means the 'thirteen arts and crafts of Bhutan'. It is believed that the Zorig Chusum was first formally categorized during the rule of Tenzin Rabgye (1680-1694).

The Institute of Zorig Chosum in Thimphu is the premier institution of traditional arts and crafts set up by the Government of Bhutan with the sole objective of preserving the rich culture and tradition of Bhutan and training students in all traditional art forms.

Lincoln Gaol

Lincoln Castle’s Victorian Prison was designed for the 'separate system', an isolating regime that kept prisoners apart from the corrupting influence of their fellow prisoners.

Men, women and children as young as eight were held here from 1848 to 1878 for crimes ranging from stealing a waistcoat and Bible, to highway robbery and murder. During this time seven murderers were hanged at the castle and their bodies buried in Lucy Tower where their graves can still be seen today.

They were framed ! : ))

Whichever you prefer.

Another jewelry modeling shot of a piece for my Etsy shop, but I really like this and decided to use it as my 365 shot as well as a modeling shot for my shop. It's not listed yet but hopefully it will be later tonight! Yay for sneak peeks!

This is an outtake photo; you've seen one similar. :)

Sarah Dessen is a great writer. She has some really good quotes that have been inspiring me lately.

When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we’re safe in our own paradise. Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we’re two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we’ve found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life.

On my NYE photo walk, one of the guys brought us in here to see this. Walgreens completely restored and renovated the old Noel State Bank building (built in 1921) that had been sitting vacant in Wicker Park for years. The store opened just last month and they did an absolutely beautiful job of preserving historic detail. They even kept the old bank vault in the basement and turned it into a "Vitamin Vault." These are the safe deposit boxes. Unfortunately because of the possibility of vandalism, they've had to weld the boxes together and in on opened position. But they are still really cool to see. Felt like taking a ride on a time machine!

Our Daily Challenge - Lock And Key - 11/2/13

This is the same scene portrayed in a previous photo, but taken with my Polaroid Land Camera, Model 360. I hope the camera and film I used gives the photo a more accurate depiction of the grotesque scene in front of Ry's trailer.

My latest tattoo. I have wanted to get a key related tattoo for a long time and decided that it was finally time to do it! I love the idea of old keys- how they unlock lost objects, but this key is not lost, tied onto its lock to me it symbolises being able to hold the key to your own life, no matter what comes at you.

Mark Lonsdale at Kaleidoscope Tattoo made my drawing into a perfect tattoo- making it better than I could have ever imagined.

I'm back! I've been on an unexpected absence lately for a number of reasons - the weather, the schoolwork, my job. But those aren't excuses to not be getting photos created. Let's hope this summer is full of lots of photo-taking!

118 Pictures in 2018 #23: Bits and Bobs

It's funny to me how much stuff we (humans in general) keep. It doesn't matter how often I clean out my drawers or go through the random stuff on top of my dresser, I always find things that I look at and think, "Why do I have so much stuff?"

My little dish here is holding a collection of that stuff: a cork from a bottle of home brewed root beer, a Divine Mercy Chaplet that my mom made, a rubber bracelet from church, a wooden, hand painted ring that I got in Costa Rica, a tiny lock and key for a suitcase I haven't had in years, a Sacajawea "gold" dollar, a turtle pin, and a blue jay's feather. Some of those things are precious, others, not so much. So, once again, I'll be cleaning out drawers and going through the random stuff on my dresser. Because if I don't, I'll drown in random stuff.

The key of my bike is attached to a key ring with a portrait of my oldest son. It must have been his first school photo, about 20 years ago.

ODC - Theme (02-11-2013): Key and lock

Yes it works. Turn the key counter-clockwise and the lock will lift. I may upload a video soon proving it.

Always carry your spare key to your heart on a ribbon.

I have been going back through my external hard drive to see what photos I still have left from my old days on Flickr. I lost most of my photos in a catastrophic hard drive disaster in 2010 and the photos I have left are jpegs and not the best quality. I'm going to do my best not to obsess over the little details and remind myself that these were my favorite shots, ALMOST 20 YEARS AGO.

Bradley's Locksmith has some interesting hand-painted signs outside their shop on State St. east of Wright Square. They are a family business which has operated from the same building for multiple generations. Here are some of the painted messages:

We sharpen anything but your wits.

We fix anything but a broken heart.
