The words translation, localization and internationalization sound similar and many people use them interchangeably. However, there are subtle differences that set them apart from each other. Understanding them in their context is important for people and companies that want to make their business reach a global level.

SH2-091 is a faint Supernova remnant localized in the south of Cygnus near the star Albireo.
Many diffuse and filamentary structures are part of the structure; (SH2-91, SH2-94 and SH2-96 are some of the parts). The whole structure covers a field of more than 4°, which is very similar to the size of the popular Veil nebula.
However SH2-91 is much fainter, and at a larger distance of about 2500 Lightyears as compared with 1500 lightyears for the Veil nebula, and much older (~ 30000 years vs 7500 years).

McDonald's localizes...in Beijing, you'll find a Peking Duck sandwich (I call it the McDuck ;-). Surprisingly it's real duck meat but pales in comparison to the real thing. It's typically served with mayonaise (gross combo!), which I asked them to exclude. Also the apple pies are fried and not baked (as they are in the US), which make them much tastier.
That would be un understatement. The Blackhawk had nothing to do with the work that I was doing in Bethel, but this view from the tower shows were I have spent the last two plus weeks pounding my head against the wall.
The localizer in the background was hosed. Intermitently. the worst kind of electrical problem in the world. She would work perfectly and then go bonkers.
Denny and I stripped it down and rebuilt it, thought for sure that we had the problem corrected. (insurt Murphy's law here) Only to have her do it again.
In the long run, a cold front, a litte rain and some dew finally got me on the culpruts tail. One, that's ONE, cable had a melted shield at the farthest bend of an antenna. Add a little temperature change, moisture and resistive loading, bingo, you have a drifting system. Add warmth, a little wind and bingo she is good again.
This time I caught it! She is fixed...and I am off to another adventure...
