Polaroid 600 Film
One of the last photos taken before my SLR 680 acted up and died on me. Nothing spookier than ghosts and a skeleton enjoying a nice fall evening in the park.
I captured this image local to my home. Experimenting with different settings and POV at sunrise.
Thank you for visiting my Flickr page. Happy to receive feedback / comments.
A local out of Willmar known as the West Local gets underway westward after dropping off potash hoppers at the elevator in town. Time to head to Benson and make some switch moves there.
A local enterprise...but can you guess its purpose? A bonus award of...well...just my admiration will be noted if you are correct!
I was out scouting for ideas about a four season shot series of a gnarly old maple tree when I heard the locals talking a little further down the slough (man made water course which helps drain a vast prairie area).
This juvenile bald eagle was okay with me being so close, while an another young adult is on the wing and more safely perched in the trees beyond.

On the cool morning of Saturday, September 13, 2025, a westbound BNSF local approaches Latah Junction on its way out of Spokane, WA. Doing the honors are a pair of 4-axle EMD locomotives - the first being a GP39-3 and the second a GP50.

1 of 2 takes here showing the weather change in about a 10min .
No 1 the clouds started to change from the left.
No 2 full on hailstones for about 5 mins
These 2 takes are from the same location and earlier shot of my mist sunrise, flic.kr/p/2qx1H56

Over 250 sightings of Coyote have been reported in Lincoln, Nebraska this year. Mostly on the East side of town. Must be more chances of food there.
CN 2444 makes a surprise appearance on L581 after being left in Paris that night by A434 to help pinch hit for an ailing GP40-2W on 581.
I would say it was worth staying up late and being tired as hell all day at work today.
After meeting K808 at Fox, D707 heads east back to its home terminal of Lansing. Leading the train today is an SD70MAC-CW44AC combo with a freshly painted slug set tucked behind them. Seen here crossing the Thornapple River.

I had a walk down to the local beach yesterday morning. The tide was just going out...Later the sand was dry and golden....But still only a few people there.
Yes..This is England !!!!
Decided to go out for the Marshall Local today since there was 4 units on it. The nose light wasn't to my advantage as I had hoped. Here the train passes a local farm. Thanks to the guy who offered a ride, who thought I had car trouble, though I was just a moron being out for a train in this tundra.
Rio Grande SD40T-2s No. 5360 and 5347 shove four wood chip hoppers to a sawmill along the Castle Valley Spur in Wellington, Utah on Nov. 21, 1998.
Trees in some fog. Not very original but I’m restricted to my local area like a lot of people. Trees, I have to say, aren’t my favourite subject but maybe I’ll change my mind over the next few weeks
It is sometimes nice to play "tourist" in my local home town of Mount Gambier in South Australia, and get out and see the sights. This is Umpherstone Sinkhole. It is one of many sinkholes and caves in our limestone landscape. Here, the sinkhole has been turned into a lovely garden with ivy taking over the walls of the sinkhole in spectacular fashion. This is set within some lovely gardens in a very industrial area of town dominated by timber mills.
Rio Grande's Salina Local makes a switch move through Grundy's crossover into Provo Yard on Dec. 26, 1975.
UP SD40N No. 1901 pulls the Cache Valley Local into the small town of Smithfield, Utah the morning of June 23, 2021. The LCG41C 23 has three loads of plastic pellets for Presto Products in Lewiston, Utah and two loads of corn for Franklin County Grain Growers in Preston, Idaho.
Dwarfed by the imposing flatirons to the west, the Buck Local trundles up the Buckwheat Branch at a leisurely 5 MPH. The lead unit has an interesting connection to home, being built as NKP 904 before being overhauled for Burlington Northern in the early 90s. Another detail for viewers with a keen eye is the right of way of the Moffat Tunnel subdivision directly above the unit and to the right, threading the flatirons and entering the tunnel district.
