Only posting this taken from the car shot as it was so nice to see hares back in this particular area. Last year there was some illegal activities going on and I thought we had lost the small population. To see two in in this particular field was great after 11 months of no sightings.

Running Monday to Friday, nicknamed the Lost Local, and typically having a rather photogenic set of power, this local for BNSF has some pretty classy operations. Originating out of the little treasure trove of Great Falls, MT the Lost Local is seen here on its run south to Fairfield, MT after already servicing the Elevator in Choteau.

Not only does Ken-san’s family own and run one of the most iconic, respected, and delicious landmark restaurants in this neighborhood, but he’s a musician of some acclaim, widely considered to be the Bob Dylan of Katsushika.
Ken’s family business was part of the forced shutdowns this summer, but has just reopened.
He’s pictured here at a neighboring eatery, trying to enjoy a late night dinner with his partner after what was certainly a long day, now that he’s actively back in the restaurant business - while I bother them through the window.
Ken’s also a genuinely great guy who not only welcomed the intrusion, but even bought me a drink.
CSXT Readville based local L001 with GP40-2 6234 (blt. Feb. 1979 as BO 4335 in Chessie paint) is working the big Home Depot distribution center out at the end of the mile and a half long Westwood Industrial Park Lead. This local had scooted down Amtrak's Northeast Corridor mainline with seven loads and then accessed this little branch via a hand throw switch off Main 1 just west of the Route 128 station platforms. This industrial park was developed by the New Haven railroad in the 1950s, and was once laced with customers as indicated by the multitude of rusty and weed choked sidings that reach to assorted warehouses which were all once rail shippers. Alas only Home Depot remains to keep this obscure little line alive but is busy enough to warrant five day a week service.

We were both enjoying a week off a few weeks agao and had some luck with the weather during that week off.
Decided to visit National Park Dwingelderveld again and follow some hikingtrails.
Wanted to test and practice some more with our gear again.
Took as we do almost every time also some of our analog gear with us.
One of our Canon Eos 3 cameras was loaded with some fresh Ilford XP2 Super 400 for a change
Developing was done at home with our Cinestillfilm Cs41 kit at 39c and 4 minutes
This was the fourth film with the new batch of developer mixed on September 9 2020
Curious if we can reach over 25 films again and 10 months with this new batch.
The previous developer batch was used to develop 28 films (135-36 format) over an period of 10 months without any problems.
The Cinestill CS41 does stay in good working condition if kept cool, dark and oxygen free.
A SD60E leads Commerce, GA to Atlanta, GA rack train G27 north up the Lula to Center Branchline that connects with the Greenville District at Lula, GA. Last evening light is showing as the train wanders north near Maysville.
This might be a good name for a band..."Now, coming at you live...it's LOCAL HONEEEEEEEEEYYY!"...hmmmmm...
This shot is actually of what will hopefully turn out to be an allergy preventative. If you've been following my stream for the past couple of weeks, you've likely picked up that I've been under the weather - sore throat (to the point I thought it was strep), congestion, cough, etc.. This has been going on for two+ weeks! As the congestion seemed to be going deeper into my chest and I was starting to worry about pneumonia, I paid another visit to the doc yesterday.
He ordered an x-ray just to be safe and everything came back clean. And he concluded that I've likely been dealing with an upper respiratory infection brought on by allergies. Enter the local honey.
A friend shared that an allergy-sufferer friend of hers started eating 1 teaspoon of locally produced honey daily and her allergies all but stopped; when she moved to a different state, she did the same thing with the same result. The premise is that ingesting honey produced from local pollens helps the body develop immunity to those same pollens during allergy season. On the surface, this makes sense.
So, old wives tale or truth, I'm game for anything at this point. I've never been an allergy-sufferer, but obviously something changed this spring and I'm ready to meet it and defeat it. Not sure how much honey I'll need to ingest to allow the body to develop a fortress, but going to give it a go with the hope that next spring is less eventful.

Resting for the weekend, the pair of SD40-2's that work BNSF's Sealy Local are tied down in the small yard at Sealy, about 50 miles west of Houston. The Sealy Local is a M-F job that runs from Sealy down to Booth and returns, switching various customers along the way.
BNSF 1914 was built as BN 6333 in February 1972. Despite receiving a BNSF patch in 2000, and a BNSF number about 10 years later, this locomotive's original BN number can still be seen in faded paint on the long hood.

CN 2003 South is south of Solon Springs, WI as it skirts the edge of the St. Croix River on May 26, 2018. Looks like the next stop for this L564 local will be to set out a large block of empty center beams to the Wisconsin Great Northern ahead at Hayward Jct.
I wonder which is better, the monochrome or colored. This is the original image taken. It seemed that the attractive colors and accessories of the donkey are more eye catching than the owner of the donkey.

There is a five-storey stall 7-day-a-week market building. Each level has a different type of food group. Dairy products, Fruits, Vegetables, Meats, etc. Each level is filled with stalls selling locally produced food at great prices - often nearly farmer direct, and usually grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
Lets hope that this can continue.

On this particular day it had been a rather fruitless wildflower hunt early in the season along Caliente-Bodfish rd. And then I came upon what seems like a pair of proud parents, showing off their youngster roadside and made the day!
