Según la teoría de los tres anillos concéntricos de Alfredo Moffat, el artista para poder crear tiene que sumergirse en un mundo valido de lo irracional, de la vida onírica para poder allanar los territorios inexplorados del espíritu humano. En la escritura, la pintura, en el cine y en las artes en general, las técnicas tomaron forma en base a la intención de trasmitir una esencia, un punto de vista, que implico tener una perspectiva diferente de la realidad; adentrarse en un mundo extenso de conocimientos como también secreto y prohibido para los conservadores: la locura.

  

En el séptimo arte se supo apreciar desde el Expresionismo Alemán de Robert Wiene, con su film “El Gabinete del Dr. Caligari” (1919), este director convierte el relato del imaginario de un loco acompañado con sus distorsionados decorados, en una denuncia de la actuación del Estado Alemán durante la guerra. En el film podemos observar una percepción estética que va más allá de su significación y actúa como una vía de comunicación que capta objetivamente el mundo en que vivimos.

A posteriori surgieron nuevos movimientos de denuncia, que dio lugar a nuevas concepciones del mundo acunado por las escuelas vanguardistas, como el Dadaísmo, manifestándose mediante la burla y gestos “anti-arte” en consecuencia de la quiebra de valores del siglo XX, que promovió la ruptura de todos los esquemas propuestos hasta ese momento. Dentro de este movimiento podemos mencionar a Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray, Hans Ritcher, Robert Desnos, entre otros.

El precedente de la poesía Dadá dio lugar al nacimiento del movimiento artístico surrealista a partir de 1924, que creó un lenguaje libre y sin límites; renovándolo, permitió que el inconciente se manifieste en busca de redescubrir una verdad a través de escrituras automáticas sin correcciones racionales. Este nuevo procedimiento expresivo en la vertiente cinematográfica, fue enmarcada en el cine de vanguardia, donde podemos mencionar a André Bretón, Jean Genet, Maya Deren, Luis Buñuel que trabajo en colaboración con Dalí y esta influencia surrealista tiene precedencia hasta nuestros días. Se puede apreciar en cineastas contemporáneos como David Lynch, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Guy Maddin, Emir Kusturica, Darren Aronofsky; que lo utilizan como recurso expresivo construyendo un visionario frente a realidades existentes en la cultura de una sociedad.

 

Es así como podemos decir que la locura a través del cine es un recurso inagotable, un elemento poético que transgrede todo límite; cuestionando la verdad nos llama a la reflexión, abriéndonos las puertas de la percepción.
