2Lt Andrew Starkey, assigned to US Army Europe’s 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, loads his gear before joining his soldiers in a training operation. Starkey is here supporting Dragon 11, a multinational training event between Poland, the U.S., Canada and a few members from UK. Over 100 members of US Army Europe's 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team along with more than 20 members of the Royal Canadian Regiment, are here in Mirosławiec Poland, training and developing relationships with the Polish military. These are some of the same soldiers that will deploy with Polish troops to Afghanistan. US Army Europe Public Affairs photo by Richard Bumgardner.

A layout about how much I miss the food in California! I also posted more photos of it on my blog at photosglitterglue.wordpress.com/2012/02/01/load-day-1-cal...
Thanks for looking!
All scraps, to include the white "cardstock" which came from one of the page protectors in an album - I usually don't use them for cardstock backgrounds, but I do use them, the black cardstock backing the photos and the lettering and embellishments - all die cute from scraps.
The only non-scraps, the brads and jewels, are the last ones left from their packs and while I don't consider them to be "scraps" per se, I'm glad to be rid of them!
Scraplifted from Helen Croft, Creating Keepsakes, March 2009, pg. 20.
This is the load cell blank with three features machined on it: a tapped hole and two bored holes.
The bored holes were done on my Sieg C4 lathe, using a tool bit that I ground myself. They are M16, bored out from an M10 starter hole, which was drilled.
Tolerances are +/- 0.05 mm.

In my Life by the Beatles was the song I picked, a relavent section printed on the far right bottom block. I'm all about family, past, present and future.
This is my daughter Mary ather last Birthday party. That is a Harly Davidson boa she's wearing. Her doctor left her come home for a few days to get her will and affairs in order We threw an early birthday party and had a photographer come and take photos of her with all our family members. She died two weeks later. We have journaled her story so not much is needed on scrap pages. I saw this title somewhere and thought I'd use it today. This is definitely scrapping the saddest time our family ever faced. No embellishments, just mixed papers.
Banjo wants to be on the porch all the time now that the weather is good. Also my quote is by Danny Kaye and we just watched one of his movies. That is my take on taste prompt. I think the page is too busy, but I can't fuss with it because I am too busy.
This U-Boat (don't know which one) loading torpedoes at Wilhelmshave.

Loading, or unloading a bin of drill-pipe by skidding it off , or dragging it up the back of the truck.
So when I saw the prompt I immediately thought of these photo strips that have been hanging on our fridge for months and months waiting for "that perfect project" and here it was right in my in box thanks to Lain! I had fun putting it together and since today is our wedding anniversary I thought that's what the theme would be. Used Tim Holtz paper and ink and Girl's Paperie embellishments. I thought about going the Disney route but wasn't feeling it - hopefully it doesn't all clash too much!
