Or Pumpkin Load depending on where you came from!

Back in the old days a Punkin Load was a single log load that was big enough to bring the trailer up to weight. This was back in the days of the big timber, back when old growth was still plentiful.

Definitely not something you would ever see today, everything coming out of the woods today is match sticks compared to the days of old!

Just an old photo that I cleaned up as best as I could considering the age!

Before it's built.

My first look at the Dresser loading facility. Hopefully the next time I'm here, the sun will make an appearance.

6AM loads out of Babbitt head east by Tiomi with a trio of SD40-3's, as a work train holds in the siding.

Tiomi, MN

1. I've never eaten a McDonald's hamburger. Or Burger King, Wendy's or any other of the sort. A single White Castle burger at the tender age of 3 made me hate burgers.

2. I've held over 20 jobs that have included everything from cashier to model to reception and transcription for a law firm.

3. I've been dying my hair for over 16 years, but I was born with red hair that turned blond-ish.

4. I've been in a techno-industrial-dance cover band (called Atomic). LOADS of fun.

5. I'm 5'4", and at one time, I weighed over 180 lbs.

6. I've been vegetarian for ten years.

7. I was terrified of zombies. It was a fear that was bordering on psychosis. And it was all due to George Romero's 'Dawn of the Dead'. Edgar Wright's 'Shawn of the Dead' cured me. Now, a zombie lover, I've been to Monroeville, Pennsylvania to the mall where they filmed the movie.

8. I *hate* U-turn drivers.

9. I'm pro-choice, but would never abort my own child.

10. I'm an atheist.

11. I had a sexual dream about Steven Colbert.

12. I believe that 'The Jerk' is the pinnacle of comic genius.

13. Chris and I occasionally make sounds under the name Informational Terrorism Transmissions.

14. I still play The Sims. If you would like to be a Sim in my world, please let me know! (I won't be *too* sadistic...)

15. I'm a pervert. Really.

16. Even though I take pictures of myself, I hate it when (most) others photograph me.

Jörg is eager to start his next drive before noon.

66165 moves slowly alongside the lower loader at Treviscoe. It was another 2 hours before it had moved clear, by which time I had gone.

The train worked up as the 07:21 from Fowey Dock arriving at around 09:05. I paused here on transit between Portreath and Sheffield. Having run around about a mile south of Parkandillack the first half was loaded and ran down to Burngullow around 12:45. The remainder was loaded and was booked to run 15:25 Parkandillack to Fowey, collecting the first 'drop' at Burngullow between 16:00 and 16:25. Typical of these workings it ran to Fowey 70 early on this day.

A light rain falls as CP 8822 South heads south on the Fording River Sub with a loaded unit coal train bound for export. The train has loaded from the Fording Mine, and is passing the connecting track to the Greenhills mine, both of which make up 2 of the 4 mines on the 32.6 mile Subdivision in Southern British Columbia

Although it's mostly plastic, DJI's Mavic Pro drone does a great job at flying through a rainstorm, as was needed to be done in order to get the bird back to my location!

7 Tilden rolling up to the M35 crossing and the Eagle Mills yard with their 2nd cut of 60ish loads to finish out the shift

With several hours passing while the train was loaded at the Conneaut Docks and heavy snow falling, the drifts had piled up at the Pennside Road crossing south of Albion, Pennsylvania for the southbound run. CN 8827 leads loaded ore train U702 as it slams into the drifts and sends snow flying in all directions as it cruises over the CN Bessemer Subdivision.

Maryland Midland's UBEG heads eastbound approaching Union Bridge, Maryland with stone loads for Finksburg. After Finksburg they would continue to the CSX interchange in Emory Grove to pick up cement cars dropped by the L136 earlier in the day.

Leading the train are the fairly new SD50s brought in to replace the SD40M-2s, which are on "the EPA list" for scrap. Only one SD40M-2 (3449) remains in service on the MMID, the 3450 blew a traction motor and was canned and should end up getting scrapped. These SD50s definitely aren't terrible, but can also be an eyesore to most people.
