HEAVY LOAD 1 This heavy load is an electricity transformer on it's way to Sydney from Brisbane (Australia) seen here in the Hunter Valley.

Working on a photo story for photojournalism 1 at Austin ACC - mine is covering the Bikers Against Child Abuse. BACA has thousands of members across the world and by the end of 2009 there will be an estimated 65-70 members within a 30 mile radius of Austin. more info: www.bacausa.com/

Here's a Contax accessory you don't see very often: it's the bulk film loader for the RTS' 250-Film back. The leather case on its base contains a spare cassette. One word of note, Olympus' film cassettes are identical to the Contax ones and because they don't carry the Contax name, they're a lot less costly!

Feel the mist? This was on our trip to Australia in June 2006 for Lauren's high school graduation trip. I took this image on a boat tour of Sydney Harbour. It was a little chilly that day, but the day was perfection! I'm pulling out some old photo's for LOAD.

I laughed out loud when I saw this old Honda wobbling along, struggling under load on its daily commute.

This was on June 16, 2006 in Dugald, Manitoba, Canada at my only brother's house. We went to see him as he was diagnosed with cancer of the lungs and it metastasized to his bones. It was our last time together and my little girl's first and only time to meet him. I will never forget how despite the extreme pain he was going through, he gave my little girl a hug and said "I will hug her, don't have her hug me." It hurt so much to even receive a hug!

We wandered throughout his zen like garden and up and down the driveway and this was the start of our little girl's interest in picking rocks. To this day, she still picks rocks wherever they may lay. I just love that about her and the memory of when it all began.

We had a great lunch at this country pub/inn. The landlord had 4! labradors. We had to go and see them of course. Els is on this side of the door. They all went mad when they saw each other. Very territorial and butch...
