Two more photos as I returned along the narrow up and down track.

This was a beautiful lizard and a decent size (around 30 cm I think). It didn't stay long or allow a close approach but I am very pleased to have got it on photo.

Help with ID would be welcome.

A common lizard on the shores and in trees near the shore line.

It seems that the Aspidoscelis tigris stejnegeri has an appetite for escargot. The lizard grabbed the young snail off the bottom of a leaf as I was taking photos of it.

This colorful guy was a special treat for me on this trip. In the US it is found only in extreme southern AZ and NM (Panhandle). It's not even in my fieldguide for the US. I had photographed a specimen on an earlier trip to Maderia Canyon that had lost its tail in a skirmish. This one's intact and the focus is where I want it..

Found this guy while hiking back up to the Rim on Grand View Trail in the Grand Canyon. Can anyone tell me what kind of lizard this is?
