This Lizard just posed long enough for a photo before it disappeared into the vegetation.
It's not the one that got predated by the Red Fox that I uploaded yesterday!
Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment or fav my images.
Went to the Botanic Garden to check on the Nightjars and her 2 chicks and ran into this lizard calling out loud - Take Me! Take Me.
So I did.
Thank you my friends for popping by.
I really appreciate your visits, comments & favourites.

…… This working boat has had a bit of a paint job recently by the looks, moored close to the Shipwrights Arms in Helford village. Taken on my Fuji this one - a change from my phone. Alan:-)

Holding its feet up - rock too hot? These are generally quite dull lizards (Atlantic Lizard - Gallotia atlantica) but some specimens have large green patches on their flanks (presumably brighter in the breeding season).
Dear friends!
Thank you so much for your kind comments and visits! They are appreciated. Stay safe dears <3

Lizard Lake is on the way to Crystal Mill. It looked special this day with the overcast sky and still water while the fall colors were showing off.
Also known as the "Common Lizard" and can be sometimes confused witj the "Sand Lizard"-Lacerta agillis. Colour varies from grey-brown to reddish and oloive green with variable stripes down the the back with black blotches. This lizard gives birth to live young which can number upto 10.
Red-Shouldered Hawk ~ (Buteo Lineautus)
Sticking with my theme of doing parks close to home (more to do with limited time then Covid-19) I found this Red-shouldered Hawk nearby doing its part to curb the brown anole population.
Thanks for visiting!
One of dozens of young Common Lizards along the boardwalks of Thursley Common, Surrey, this morning.
Traveling through mostly desert environments, big game sightings were minimal. But lizard sightings were plentiful. A few days ago I posted an image of an Eastern Collared Lizard. This guy is a Great Basin Collared Lizard (I think). We found him near Lees Ferry in Northern AZ.

This cute guy (my best guess is an anole lizard) was always around this little hole in the tree outside our VRBO. My little buddy.
I think this will be the last week of Belize pics.

My twin brother, Dennis, and I decided to go on a 12 day road trip (August 7-19) to southeastern Arizona as it had been a number of years since we had done so. One thing very noticeable this year from previous years was the lack of water in creeks that had water in them before.

This beautiful black and white lizard was seen at a lodge in South Pantanal, Brazil. I assume it was fairly used to people walking around as it showed no sign of aggression or fear. They are reported to be affectionate and intelligent which makes them popular in the pet trade. Wikipedia also says that Tegus that have escaped or have been illegally released have adapted and are increasing in South Florida.

Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.
A Green Anole peeks over the edge of a leaf, looking for insects to eat. I spent about two hours with these little lizards in my sister's back yard in Jacksonville, Florida when visiting last year (2019). Very happy with some of my captures :)
Green Anoles average about 4 inches in body size, with their tails extending another 4 inches. While the lizard above appears quite large, it is due to the perspective of my macro lens magnification, and the close proximity of the lens to the animal.
In order to get this close without spooking it and having it scurry away, it required a very patient stalking technique involving slow movement, quiet presence, and muscles in my arms and hands that often quivered uncontrollably due to holding my heavy gear for such extended handheld sessions! Actually surprising that ANY of my images were sharp, lol.
