Some daffodils in our back yard taken with a Rollei Infrared film (Canon A-1 + 50mm f1.4 with deep red filter).
This shot reminds me of an earlier image that I took with very expired Kodak High Contrast Copy film a few years ago (i'll post that in the comments).
Dark and stormy clouds, a biting wind, and blowing snow characterized this day. Not many cars on the road and few homes for shelter - only this abandoned place with some windows boarded and others broken. It was no place to linger.

Monsoon lingered in Nepal in September 1985. It was wet and hot walking the famous Annapurna Circuit trail. Until we reached the backside of the Annapurna massif - no more rains and a cooler, drier climate. It was harvest time in the fabled Manang Valley - sheltered by huge mountains, it was a pocket of a peculiar Tibetan tribe and their culture. Here just after the village of Tal we were walking in the deep Marsyandi river gorge. Just before a heavy rainfall started a Tibetan horse was peacefully grazing on our path.
At that time there were no roads to Manang valley and it took a week of walking to reach the rain shadow. That has changed and it has changed the lives in the valley forever.
The picture was originally photographed on Fujichrome slide film with my Nikon FE2 camera and 50mm lens. I photographed the slide by bracketing it with a Nikon D600 camera and enhanced the picture in Lightroom, Photoshop, and Topaz.
'Where Light Lingers' explores the quiet aftermath of movement—layers of colour intersecting like memories that refuse to fade. Warm tones drift across fractured paths, holding onto light just a moment longer, inviting reflection rather than resolution.

I uploaded this to Flickr awhile ago but never posted it! Even now, when I walk about, it still looks like autumn around here. It is so ridiculously warm today (81°). I feel like I'm on another planet.
Sorry in advance to all you folk who suffered through the polar vortex. I really am envious of the snowy photos .... but not the bitter cold temps! Still no snow in the mountains around here. Never did get to take Sammy out sledding :(
