Most of our drive up the Bow Valley Parkway was shrouded in cloud. As we arrived at Castle Mountain Bridge, the clouds rapidly cleared. Too rapidly, even! There was just a thin layer of cloud around the mountain, and I wish it had lingered for just a bit longer. I pretty much plopped every thing down to get this shot before finding better foreground elements. You can see the shadow of the bridge here, and I had to crop out my husband's tripod legs. This is nearly identical to the first shot I posted a little while ago, but I do like the dissipating clouds around the peak.

Though autumn reigns beyond the borders of the Spring Court, here the sun still spills golden and generous across the eternal gardens. The Spring Fae laughs—a sound like wind chimes and birdsong—as the swing carries her higher, her pearl-adorned limbs catching light like morning dew.

She is joy incarnate, painted in glowing sigils that map the seasons across her skin. Each arc of the swing sends flowers blooming in her wake: purple lupines, soft pink cosmos, delicate whites that dance on the breeze she creates. A butterfly, bold in magenta and black, flutters past as if to race her toward the sky.

This is her realm, her sanctuary. While other courts surrender to the turning of time, the Spring Court remains steadfast in its celebration of life. The warmth here is not defiance but gift—a reminder that renewal is not bound to calendar or season, but to the heart's willingness to bloom.

Bendigo, early morning.

Sunlight weaves through ancient branches, painting the water in golden hues. A quiet moment, wrapped in nature’s embrace. Once a place to wander, now just a memory in light and shade.

You might be wondering why I include music – for me, it simply belongs to the image. I listen while editing, letting it shape the mood and inspire the process.

If you, if you could return

Don't let it burn, don't let it fade

I'm sure, I'm not being rude

But it's just your attitude

It's tearing me apart

Is ruining everything

I swore, I swore I would be true

And honey, so did you

So why were you holding her hand?

Is that the way we stand?

Were you lying all the time?

Was it just a game to you?

But I'm in so deep

You know I'm such a fool for you

You got me wrapped around your finger

Do you have to let it linger?

Do you have to, do you have to, do you have to let it linger?

Oh, I thought the world of you

I thought nothing could go wrong

But I was wrong, I was wrong

If you, if you could get by

Trying not to lie

Things wouldn't be so confused

And I wouldn't feel so used

But you always really knew

I just wanna be with you

And I'm in so deep

You know I'm such a fool for you

You got me wrapped around your finger

Do you have to let it linger?

Do you have to, do you have to, do you have to let it linger?

And I'm in so deep

You know I'm such a fool for you

You got me wrapped around your finger?

Do you have to let it linger?

Do you have to, do you have to, do you have to let it linger?

You know I'm such a fool for you

You got me wrapped around your finger

Do you have to let it linger?

Do you have to, do you have to, do you have to let it linger?

Autumn hums quietly in the golden air.

Under the cold Winter skies

I do gaze with my eyes

Along the wet, uncovered land

Sculptured by sweet natures hand

Where the water does stretch its finger

As above the clouds, they linger

Casting down a dramatic frown

On the land that i walk down

The Dubai Waterfall is a spectacular indoor art installation. Comprised of two large cylindrical walls 30 metres in diameter and 24 metres high – spanning the three floors of the Dubai Mall – it is one of the Mall’s most eye-catching features.

Recycled water cascades over the walls whilst fibreglass sculptures of men diving in unison create a truly mesmerising experience. (DubaiTravelPlanner.com)

--------------

A mesmerizing sight for sure. Surrounded by coffee shops and stores, we lingered here for a while marvelling at the fountain before heading into the depths of the mall to see if we could see the over 1000 stores and other attractions of this massive mall.

Stormy weather rolling in on a partly cloudy day over the spring time mountains can be a breathtaking view. Something you need to stand on the edge of a bluff, cliff, or mountain overlook to see. Watching the clouds rush past, the barest seams between them allowing billowing light to rush down to the world bellow. The thick haze allowing the shafts of light to linger in the air as if illustrated by a talented painter. This is mountain magic, beckoning you to come and stay a while, to look out over the weaving of light.

Beautiful sunset view of the old Linger Longer Inn on Brewster Flats, Cape Cod....

Sometimes the best part of a sunset is when the show is just about over.

To linger a while in a sea of thirsty grass, with eyes closed as if in prayer, waiting for the world to stop long enough to find the emotional balance of the mind. To stop and face the unknown event as if it were a miracle, knowing deep down that it probably won't be so, but the now light heart will face it...

As I make my way back over the Sneck to reach my second Munro of the day, Beinn a'Bhuird, I look to my right into the deep Glen Sluichd, with the steeps slopes of Ben Avon from which I have just descended on its right. But there's no time to linger, there's another Munro to go yet!

Climbing Ben Avon (pronounced Ben A'an) which stands at 1171 meters (3842 feet), and Beinn a'Bhuird (pronounced Ben a-voashed) standing at 1197 meters (3927 feet), sees me covering a distance of just over 24 miles. They are my 2nd & 3rd Munro's of the season, and bring me to a total of 26 now.

A sky too bold to whisper.

Why do you flee so soon, sir, to the theaters, lecture-rooms, and museums of the city? If you will stay here awhile I will promise you strange sights. You shall walk on water; all these brooks and rivers and ponds shall be your highway. You shall see the whole earth covered a foot or more deep with purest white crystals and all the trees and stubble glittering in icy armor.

Holding me close

Pulling me in

Grabbing me tighter

as each fingertip lingers around my body.

You kiss me and hold me tightly as you say

"You're Mine".

I thought we had something real. I believed in every word, every promise. But now, all I see is the space between us, the way your hand found hers like mine never mattered. Was I blind, or were you just careful with your lies? I tell myself to walk away, to let go, but I can’t, I’m in too deep. You still have me, wrapped around your finger, holding on to something that feels like it’s already gone. And yet, I can’t cut the thread. You won’t end it, and neither can I. Do you have to let this linger?

... take eight overlapping portrait format frames and stitch them together. A scene looking northward over part of Newcastle city, Australia during a brief sunny interlude this afternoon. The atmosphere is extremely humid, and the Tasman Sea is warmer than usual, as La Niña lingers. Yet more intense rain is forecast for the NSW Coast, with the prospect of another East Coast Low forming off Sydney in the next day or so, dumping even more rain on already saturated coastal catchments.

Your smile hath called me mutely

Like the lingering light

That beckons the shy and silent star

I spotted this couple on the end of the jetty at Clevedon as I was packing up, thought it would make a nice silhouette shot.
