I'm not much into drawing in sketch books and I rarely doodle but tonight it seemed like the thing to do.

Falling in love with ink again-- I may adapt/rework this into a letterpress print. Yay/nay?
@retrorosey #portrait #vectorportrait #JKPP #lineart #portraitdrawing #illustratedportrait #portraitillustration #portraitillustrations #portraitofafriend This portrait is an exact likeness of Ms. Rosey. It's not really in the same spirit as her compelling photos. It is definitely Ms. Rosey inspired. I like to make a portrait look enough like the subject and flatter the subject enough that they aren't offended. She was standing in front of a tree full of blossoms. Well, I don't want to draw a tree full of blossoms. So, in the spirit of #retrorosey, I picked some blossoms from Google images and used them as a pattern for her blouse. Jazz.
Great thing about @retrorosey is that she does so much of the work for you through style and charming features that the rest is just good fun.
Echoes of History ✨
This mixed-media piece blends a portrait with thought-provoking words like "History," "Honesty," and "Heritage" to reflect on the powerful themes of identity, resilience, and legacy. The stark contrast of black and white in the portrait, coupled with the torn, textured paper, evokes a sense of timeworn strength, while the handwritten words float like whispers from the past.
️ Medium: Ink and mixed media
📜 Concept: A tribute to the enduring spirit of history and the values that shape us
🌟 Art that tells a story through texture, form, and words.
