Tiger on the mountain. The year of the tiger is soon here! It’s time to paint and draw a piece with tiger as the theme and I came up with this piece! The line part is all done. Laying watercolour is the next step. 虎年快到!決定畫一張以老虎為題材的作品!線稿已經畫好。之後是上水彩。
This is Kyo soma from Fruits Basket.
honestly, the lineart was much more expressive but it's fine ;( *crying ensues*
So for this i did the sketch and lineart digitally, then I printed it out and used my copics. unfortunatly i didn't have the right colors for his shirt, and I also didn't really have anything to shade white, so I ended up using my prismacolor pencils as well as copics. also, my sister recently gave me some white gel pens, so those were a big help.
the shirt is completely the wrong color but it's fine...
honestly, it was kind of fun drawing an edgy guy, given the fact that I mostly draw smiley girls xD
Bueno, de a poco me voy animando a subir mis dibujos femeninos.
Espero que les gusten :)

My Right Hand. Ink (Platinum Carbon Black, Iroshizuku Fuyu-Syogun, Kala Moonstone and Kala Sillimanite) and pencil on Bristol Smooth. I love how seamlessly Moonstone blends with pencil. The pen is my UEF Platinum President.
Clean precrease pattern for the Pythagorean Tiling origami model (see my previous two posts for pictures of the finished tessellation). I optimized the pattern for the front side (the one with squares) to be clean, so each ractangular area visible on the back side still has a crease going through it. The paper used is red Elephant Hide paper, a classic among tessellation folders, unfortunately no longer produced in this beautiful color.

lately I've been getting pretty obsessed with lines, geeky detail and bears so I thought I'd indulge myself..hmm
Finished version!
Moosebot had the lineart of his tree removal robot for sale. I decided to have some fun, and offered to build it in Lego, in exchange for the artwork. He obliged, and here's the result!
Photo quality is terrible and blurry in parts, I know. I can't fix it, because:
It's in the mail, Gaelen! I don't envy your having to fix the tree. The rest should be packed well enough. :D
Draw what you hear. This was the brilliant suggestion by Rob Walker in a blog extension of his timely book “The Art of Noticing” (robwalker.net/noticing/)
I just sat on that notion for a while then yesterday, when tuning in to a virtual concert by another New Orleans’ creative, Michael Ward-Bergeman, I was moved to do just that.
A terrific concert, pairing Michael Ward-Bergeman with his collaborator/trumpet player/friend Dominik Farinacci, on Dominik’s Song Book Watch Party. (Amazing folks coming up with amazing ways of keeping life thriving, not just surviving.) (www.dominickfarinacci.com/swp-events/2020/4/1/new-orleans...)
So this is what I drew. And it was terrific fun. Moved to explore it more. Line dancing. : ) This was drawn to their rendition of “St Louis Blues”. This also relishes in Rob Walker’s encouragement that we Make Bad Art.
