Mr. Templeton has been by far my favorite commission of the year so far. I decided against lineart for this piece because I was worried he would lose some of the fluffiness that I had intended for him, and honestly I'm very pleased with how he turned out. Because of that I'd like to do all my future commissions in this sort of lineart-free style, since it just feels right!

The Tree

This is a series that I originally wanted to do in 2015 when I first bought my compact Sony RX 100 IV. I was playing around with the setting, and I found out that I could create some interesting drawing effects by tuning the exposure setting. This was a setting that set to over-exposing to create this thin line-art effect.

Just a little line art to keep me active on flickr. I am not the photographer of the original pictures, of course.

There is an element of the unknown and will always test your physical and mental skills. If it was easy, it wouldn’t be worth doing, but what you take away from the mountain goes well beyond the satisfaction of pushing your limits. No matter how much the mountains test you, they drive your adrenaline that keeps you coming back for more, after all if you had a good experience with good conditions you will have no stories to tell people. There is always a sense of curiosity of what is around the next bend; That horrifying exciting sight of a higher mountain than the one you just climbed, a beautiful clear rock pool sparkling in the sunlight, walk out of a forest into a completely open landscape with not a tree in sight or a small secluded village. What you see around that next bend will often be unknown, a surprise, bring a sense of excitement, fear or all 3. The best part is even if you have been there a million times, it’s never the same, and you rarely have the same experience.

Jayne's wearing the most recent group gift from 1Hundred, a gingham babydoll set (fatpack)! She also wears a LeLutka Fleur mesh head, Maitreya Lara mesh body, Amara Beauty (BoM) skin with Simple Bloom eyebrows, and Doux mesh hair. Her collarbone piercings are from YSORAL, and platform heels are by Mosquito's Way.

Europe, Germany, Berlin, Mitte, Hamburger Bahnhof, Stair well, Otto Zitko exposition (cut from T & B, slightly cut from L & R)

This is what can happen when an abstract painter doesn't accept the constraints of a piece of canvas, wood or metal to express himself ...... relieving the white walls of a museum of its purely contextual neutral function. The artwork merges nicely with the architectural space, meeting graffiti in the process.

In the Hamburger Bahnhof, to me one of the most inspiring contemporary art museums of Western Europe, there are ofcourse also rooms dedicated to the works of Otto Zitko but in the articulated space of a big stair well, his work spoke volumes.

Info about Zitko and his work is here

Other pictures shot at the Hamburger Bahnhof are here, here and here. They are all, like this one, part of the Hamburger Bahnhof album and the Berlin album.

I'm so grateful to everyone who commissioned me during my sale, it really helped out in my moment of need. I usually prefer to only post finished pieces but I didn't share anything last week so I definitely wanted to share something today. So here are my WIPs for the sale commissions! Please let me know if you think I should share works in progress more often, or just stick with posting finished work. Thank you ❤️
