Climate activists from 350 Mass and other local climate change groups held a protest at the Danversport Yacht Club where the North Shore Chamber of Commerce was holding its “Business Insight Breakfast: Energy Forum.” The breakfast focused on renewable energy and featured speaker from Enbridge and National Grid. According to protesters both Enbridge and National grid have failed to transition to clean energy and are greenwashing the public by refusing to make hard commitments to immediately transition off fossil fuels. Enbridge and National Grid continue to fund fossil fuel projects. Enbridge built a gas compressor in Weymouth, MA despite local concerns about safety of the surrounding community and constructed Line 3 in Minnesota through untouched wetlands and the treaty territories of Anishinaabe peoples and is currently under investigation for aquifer breaches while National Grid is constructing pipelines and replacing liquified natural gas vaporizers as well as investing billions in gas pipelines.
Minnesotans and allied organizations gathered at Governor Tim Walz’s office in the State Capitol to urge him and his administration to stop the Enbridge Line 3 tar sands pipeline with petition signatures from across Minnesota. Greenpeace, together with MN350, Sierra Club North Star Chapter, Honor the Earth, Environment Minnesota, Daily Kos, and CREDO Action presented signatures from Minnesotans urging Walz and his administration to respect Indigenous treaty rights and protect the land, water, wild rice, and climate from the threats posed by Enbridge’s Line 3 pipeline project.

Nagole Metro Station of Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) Phase-I under-construction. Freshly coated pillars of the station can be seen in the pic. The concessionaire for the project is L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd. This stretch is part of Stage-I (Nagole-Mettuguda) part of Line 3 from Nagole to Shilparamam.
Test run on this line started on 07-AUG-2014. Trial runs are expected to launch soon and expected completion of this stage is Mar/Apr 2015 on schedule.
