After around 125 sessions it was time to change the original picavet line. I swapped it for some of the dacron I have on a spare reel so it should be plenty strong enough.

The K Line is a light rail line that is part of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system in Los Angeles County, California. This line was built as part of the Crenshaw/LAX Line project, which, when fully complete in late 2024, will run 8.5 miles (13.7 km), serving nine stations in the Crenshaw, Leimert Park and Westchester neighborhoods of Los Angeles, the City of Inglewood and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), before reaching a junction with C Line. The initial operating segment, opened October 7, 2022, connects the existing E Line to seven additional stations, stopping 2 miles (3.2 km) short of LAX. Metro provides a bus shuttle from the terminus at Westchester/Veterans to the C Line at Aviation/LAX. The shuttle will terminate when K Line opens that train segment, serving those stations, in 2023.

The project is being built by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and has been funded by Measure R. The final EIR was certified in 2011, the FTA gave its approval to build the line in 2012, and heavy construction began in June 2014. Revenue service was initially projected to begin by mid-2020, but the project has repeatedly fallen behind schedule. The northern portion opened October 7, 2022, with the southern portion connecting to the C Line opening in fall 2023, and the station for transfers to the new LAX Automated People Mover opening in late 2024.

The site of Copmanthorpe station witnesses Freightliner 'Shed' 66 539 at the head of the 6E94 23.45 Killoch-Drax Power Station coal train. The former station building is visible above the third and fourth hoppers. Opened in 1839, Copmanthorpe station closed to passengers in 1959 and to freight five years later. The consist has just passed beneath the Temple Lane overbridge.

A woman identified as M.B. described how early Methodists sang hymns withouth hymn books. She "lined" songs for us -- meaning that she sang a song, line by line. We would repeat each line after she sang it. Early Methodist worship would include perhaps two hours of singing in each service.

Headed up the thoroughfare track to Acca Yard for refueling, then will go back to Fulton Yard to pick up their train.
