There was an art installation in the Twin Cities recently where the artist drew white lines on a dark background on and on and there was some discussion about how each line was different and affected by the mood of the artist and this and that. His result was quite a bit more effective than mine but nothing ventured...

One of the poles in my 3 pole line. You just can't beat that Hemingray blue on the left side of the crossarm.
Using mason twine as conductors for now but will replace it with wire and tie it to the insulators.

cotton fabric, polyester thread, stitching, devore, discharge printing.
Made from stitched layers of dyed cloth, subsequently bleached, burnt and chemically printed.
Close up of panel on wall. I like how the pins create their own pattern.
This week my photo met the goals of this project with the use of rhythm and contour line. The repeating lines on the statue lead your eye to many different places while still maintaining its focal point. The contour lines creates unique highlights and lowlights in the statue. I created this work by finding this statue at my neighbors house and taking pictures of it at many different angles. I had to lay on a rock to take this picture because when I kneeled down the rock was in the way and I couldn't get low enough. Many of the pictures didn't work out because I was having a problem with camera shake from having to balance on the rock. My works greatest strength is the unique curves of the lines on the statue. One thing I would change about my photo is the background. The background seems to be extra blurry and I would have liked it to have been a solid color or pattern.
Another parking lot. I cannot stress how frickin' huge these things are. MRAPs on Joint Base Balad, Iraq. March 2009.

Grand Central Terminal in NYC. The biggest train station in the world (by number of platforms that is, but still) on such a small island... It certainly is busy, but what an interesting place for a photographer!
The flight line at Oceana Naval Air Station at Virginia Beach, Va. was busy the day we visited. One C17 Globemaster was in the air and another waited on the flight line along with a F-18 Hornet. Several fuel trucks were busy filling the planes before take-off.
Stormy weather appeared to be no problem.
