The sunset afterglow lights up the rails at Arrecife de las Sirenas. This little cove has a series of rusty rails used for launching small fishing vessels out on to the sea at Cabo de Gata. The lines lead out nicely to the rocks of the volcanic mermaids reef. It actually gets its name from historic sea lore, when passing ships saw a colony of monk seals on these rocks and mistook them for mermaids luring their boats onto this treacherous headland.
I was very lucky to get this light which accentuates the rusty texture of the old rails. I also liked the light hitting the strategically placed tyre, which keeps the boats from hitting the rather gnarly volcanic rock on their way in and out of this cove.
Taken with a Nikon D850 about 30 minutes after sunset.

How many of us have crossed the line………… Here’s the problem…
Look at her…which line is she crossing…
Yes… I see the lip gloss… Don’t get caught up in that…
My friends… I have always said… the light and the shadows is where you’ll find the love…
So where is she crossing to… This is what light will do...
Enjoy... From me to you
Shooting Tips
This lighting style has been for around for 50 years or longer… This is called back lighting… For this shoot…
I used two lamps... one directly in back of her and the other one above her head… I used a hand held LED flashlight to get the glow in her eyes…
So that’s the equipment… But this shoot is not about equipment…
Her name is Lulu… Don’t ever prejudge… this beautiful person… would make you proud… Real proud…

Meet you in the shadows………………Here's the deal... it's about shooting....
Some more auroras were visible here at South Pole yesterday. The flag line guides us the way. The outside temperature is around -65C these days.
MNNR 48 trundles west along the Midtown Greenway in Minneapolis on the snow covered Hiawatha Line for switch work at the remaining grain facilities. The Minnesota Commercial keeps this trackage active that once saw countless trains, especially passenger trains of the Milwaukee Road, Soo Line, and Rock Island.
Cell Phone
by Leanne Guenther
CHILD:
I’d like a brand new, red cell phone.
With voice and text and worldwide roam!
And I’ll call grandma every day,
To tell her what I did at play.
MOM:
Dear, I think perhaps you’d better -
Just write her a lovely letter.
A snail I saw in Chinese Garden in Singapore. Didn't think I'd be able to capture it with my extremely wide angle lens, but I was! Sort of.
Multiculturalism here is what politicians boast about on independence day and at pre-election speeches. Its what makes this country strong, gives it its diversity, and makes us who we are. Its our heritage as a nation. Our pride. Truth is, multiculturalism cuts both ways. Its the reason for our fears, remorse, resentment, spite and estrangement from each other. While some would share the same space and immerse in friendly banter others scrawl in blood a fundamentalist prophecy yet to be delivered. This is my Malaysia. That which promises to save us may be the death of us all.
