A Shore Line East train barrels west passed what’s left of the old dry dock and boathouse on the West river in Guilford, this river used to be a productive oyster & Shad fishing ground, now all that’s left is scattered machinery and planks of wood.
Hunter's fourth grade class got to compete in their own "Iditarod" race after following the actual dog sled race in class. The kids were arranged in teams of three and had to construct their sleds, with one kid being the musher and the other two being the "dogs". Hunter's team is farthest to the right preparing to start the race. They finished first.

On a sunny day the High Line in NYC feels like a suspended garden: sun-drenched wooden lounges line a former rail track now carpeted with swaying grasses and wildflowers, while walkers drift past art installations and pause to admire different views often framed by soaring glass towers. Above the street noise, you hear only breeze, birds, and relaxed chatter in this urban oasis floating a story over Chelsea.
Another winter evening version of what has become a favourite scene of mine over the past several years ... our shoreline on Hay Bay.
