Fourth in the series of reflections in the Amsterdam canals. More from Amsterdam after my upcoming workshop there in April. Looking forward to shooting this wonderful city again.
One of the most dramatic roads in Scotland, the pass through Glencoe. Heavily textured with the new flypaper autumn textures and detail removed using Topaz filters. Best large on black.
Happy 2012 everyone!

Fabulous 20 page book of self-portraits by artist Mary Bogdan. "This series of intimate photographs has been a long time coming... it was my sister who was the "pretty one"... the "thin one"... the "smart one"... I grew up in her shadow... I was her little sister... never quite matching up to her, never able to be mom's "favorite"...
These are painful thoughts, years of feeling self-loathing... today I took these photos of myself with love and forgiveness, and thoughts of "I am beautiful"... chubby, but beautiful... Feeling deep pains as I write this... but today is the day I fight back and say to my mother "It's OK to be fat"... It's beautiful if you feel beautiful inside, if you are loved deeply by a wonderful man, and if you love yourself enough to forgive yourself for being "fat".... I think these photos of myself are full of love and beauty... that's how I feel about [ME].... today...."

I thought about cropping the branch out of this but decided to leave it in. This was taken a few months ago on the West coast of Scotland.

Few landscapes create such intense atmosphere and intrigue as the woodland around the old quarry of Bole Hill.

A Moody & Misty autumnal forest scene in New England. Limited Edition of 150.
I used topaz simplify filter for a painterly effect here, followed by loads of flypaper textures. Too much perhaps but I quite like the effect. Best Large!
Limited edition prints available and I'll throw in an NFT for free.

A collector recently acquired this piece directly from my website—an 84" x 42" TruLife® Acrylic glass print (not including the 4" wood frame). I arranged to have it drop-shipped to their local framing gallery near Sedona, where they expertly added the external frame before delivering it for installation.
Big thanks to the framing gallery for capturing this photo for me before handing it off to my client! Apologies for the reflections—framing is their specialty, not photography!
The {wide format 2:1 aspect ratio artwork} is titled "Gatekeeper" its a Limited Edition of 100. I pre-arranged the installation for them as well.
Here is the artwork as it appears on my website (no frame or framing gallery) www.flickr.com/photos/saddletrampimages/52267277049/in/da...

Limited Edition prints 200 size 8x10, signed by artist by hand.
Another outtake from this shoot. Read story and other pictures now on the blog. I love going through old pictures and shoots. So many times do I discover images that I hadn't selected the first time round and find magic in them. Does that happen to you?
A series of limited edition prints about the complex relationship between my father and myself, created just after his death in 2004. Using images and symbols that represent him and/or me woven together to make one.

Based on the cliche' of the tedious difficulties of life. Every now and then events surprise us and we are handed exactly what we need or is it just perhaps you make it look easy? This image is a tribute to all the courageous men and women who get up every morning, undaunted by the tasks of life. Hit it head on. Lady Caroline

Hey there Flickr :) So, it's officially autumn, time to add a few new images..
Here's one I photographed in New England, isolating this colorful Maple leaf that was slowly making its way through the shallow edges of a secluded pond.
The submerged leaves and grasses seemed to provide an almost ghostly ethereal backdrop.
The first from the "Inspirational Women" series. "She took the City by Storm" presents a fearless and unflinching persona of a woman who is a force of nature. She goes after her dreams, stirring up opportunity, opening windows and throwing open doors. Are you a force to be reckoned with? Lady Caroline

Cut Bank Creek, East Glacier Park. Montana USA
The placid waterway is the headwaters of Cut Bank Creek, and the Lewis Range summits bathed in warm sunset light are made up of Mad Wolf Mtn, Bad Marriage Mtn, and the peak of Eagle Plume.
Unknown to us at the moment, we had a Black Bear snooping for grubs and pawing up boulders within 70 yards of us as we shot this scene. It wasn't until we broke down our gear to hike back to the vehicle that we had a face-to-face and introduced ourselves.
