Lindt believes in the magic of families, which is why the Lindt Gold Bunny is proud to join Action for Children in The Big Egg Hunt and support the great work they do to improve the lives of children & families in the UK.

Transition #3

Transition #3 is more focused on the digital processes to explore my use of light than the more hands on approach I’ve employed in previous work, the result of this being a more linear form, seeming at once more controlled than the fluid forms of previous work. In order to give the work more tangibility than is often obtained in digital projection however, I have chosen to project onto both sides of a large-scale screen, giving the work a presence in the space; a solidity perhaps not attained through wall based projection.

Within Transition #3 the time-based component has become a key factor to reading the work, taking inspiration from work such as Douglas Gordon’s seminal piece 24-Hour Psycho, I have made the subtle transitions almost imperceptible at times, requiring the viewer to revisit the piece multiple times to explore the gentle shifts in colour and form that occur throughout it’s runtime.

The Odenplan commuter train station, Stockholm. Designed by the Swedish architectural firm Ahlqvist&Almqvist, it opened in July 2017. The light-art installation is a site-specific work called Life Line, created by David Svensson (b. 1973).

The artist explains: "For the suburban train station Stockholm Odenplan, I have striven to develop a work of art with a clear identity and a significant presence, in keeping with the architectural space and function of the station. Life Line is a work based on the line - the basic element of drawing and visual language.

More specifically, the work takes its starting point in my son Isaac's pulse before birth in the summer of 2012. The brilliant lines that show the child's pulse become a metaphor for life. The various lines that relate to each other then form a kind of topographical landscape, a 350 square meter large lightwork. The artwork consists of a neon-like warm white LED, over 400-meter long and spread over 32 lines, which also serves as part of the venue's general lighting."

The installation is a functional sculpture that illuminates at night while allowing the public to use it as a sitting area. Constructed out of acrylic sheets, the installation features coloured LED lights that are reflected onto the sheets. As a sculpture, it will also serve to give a futuristic edge to the environment.

What's Smart

The artist uses LED lights to light up the edges of the acrylic sheets. The lights are programmed to change rhythmically to form a dynamic light display.

Northern lights exhibition

North Terrace, Adelaide, SA

It's that time of year again - the northern lights are on on north terrace and the crowds flock to see the old buildings lit up in all sorts of imaginative schemes. This is the art gallery of SA . It's pretty hard to time anything in advance to get noone in the picture so settings for 90 seconds allows a whole image in the one transition of projected image.

I'll post some of the timelapses I took last night here too.

Tronesque virtual dimension exploration tonight from the comfort of my kitchen.

Whilst queuing up for our Chippy tea Riley took his coat off and I noticed the proper funky lining within.

Chippy eaten, tea drank and set too.

Framed and focused for the inside of his coat. Lit from one side green and a hint of blue from the . Lens cap on, swapped tripods for some camera and blade rotation. 8 way rotation of the cam for each blade rotation. www.lightpaintingbrushes.com diamond blade modded and illuminated by the Ryus Lightworks strobing badboy.

Straight out of the camera.....and into Lightroom for some minor tweakage.

Suffice to say that Riley's coat will be coming out with me tomorrow night.

Happy days.
