Something about this fruit basket/banana hook reminded me of a sailboat. I was trying to capture all the different types of lines: the blinds and the shadows, the lines of the table, the wire basket itself–juxtaposed with the curves of the fruit and the long arc of the banana hanger.

The bright sunlight reflected on the blinds, the way the bananas at the back were lit by light reflected off the those in front, as well as the brilliant blue sky outside on this Winter's Solstice day made for an image that will remind me of this beautiful afternoon.

It was very colorful night during musical festival at Nancy.

Yeah, but no George was to be found...again, no soul around! Unbelievable! Good that we decided to skip the 12 Apostles during the day, because there were some tourist groups...but any other place felt like forgotten. Perfect :-)

I really loved the lights & shadow situation here. The bright blue sky against the extreme australian sunlight. The rocks/cliffs in the light against the ones on the shadow side.

So here we are at Loch Ard Gorge...hanging out at the beach before looking for a room and later turning back to the 4 Apostles ;-)

Both in life and on the street we move between lights and shadows. The ones on the street are always there. Those of life we created ourselves.

I've had this one in mind for a while but have been putting it off due to the intricacies of it.

It's nowhere near as polished as I'd have liked but I ran out of steam.

Laser pointer pointed down the end of a syringe which Lauren held in position. Beauty dish and a gelled flashgun hitting Lauren's arm obliquely so as to leave most of it in shadow. Lens cap on and took the laser off her and into the www.lightpaintingbrushes.com black fibers which were covered in foil apart from a single strand. Aperture change to F1.4 and the lens cap off then moved the fiber from the point of the needle to her hand.

All shot during a single long exposure in complete darkness.

50 up already! Where did that go?

I got the idea for this one whilst ploughing through all the emails at work. There was an image of the inner workings of the brain and the cell at the centre of the synapses reminded me of my dome rotation from yesterday. Firstly mirrored an image of the synapses on both axis and placed a black circle in the middle of it on my tablet then centred. Composed and focused for the tablet then placed my pcb on a book to bring it to the right level and re composed. Did the same for the dome tool using my clinometer app to find the correct angle after blind panning during the shot. Exposed the pcb, backlit with my led lenser and cap on. re composed for the tablet and cap off for two seconds, cap on. Blind pan to the centre of where the dome was and checked the angle of the camera. Cap off and span the dome tool once for every 45 degrees of rotate. Didn't nail the dome tool, as I wanted it spherical like last time but hey ho......Onwards!
