50 up already! Where did that go?

I got the idea for this one whilst ploughing through all the emails at work. There was an image of the inner workings of the brain and the cell at the centre of the synapses reminded me of my dome rotation from yesterday. Firstly mirrored an image of the synapses on both axis and placed a black circle in the middle of it on my tablet then centred. Composed and focused for the tablet then placed my pcb on a book to bring it to the right level and re composed. Did the same for the dome tool using my clinometer app to find the correct angle after blind panning during the shot. Exposed the pcb, backlit with my led lenser and cap on. re composed for the tablet and cap off for two seconds, cap on. Blind pan to the centre of where the dome was and checked the angle of the camera. Cap off and span the dome tool once for every 45 degrees of rotate. Didn't nail the dome tool, as I wanted it spherical like last time but hey ho......Onwards!

This was number 50 of my 365. Cheers.

Happy Fence Friday

Thank you for taken your time to visit me, comments or faves are always much appreciated!

The sight of terns almost in the city center is not a common sight here. Łódź is located in central Poland, far from the sea or the Polish lake region of Mazury.

It is all the more great that this group of birds has chosen this city as their home.

Taken yesterday as the sun was setting. at one of the local Parks.

Cistus (species)

Oxythyrea funesta compare sui fiori gia' all'inizio della primavera.

This is the house where I spent some part of my childhood with my grandmother (not the one that gave me the bottle of liquor but the other )..I have such sweet memories here, too! When I went to see it two months ago, I was so surprised and delighted to find it renovated ! It looked so charming..

My grandparents used to live mostly on the second floor and the one upstairs from it.

Below is me sitting at the door of the same building ages ago:)

It was very hot when we went to visit the city of Varese in Italy in summer of 2017. To escape the heat we drove up to Sacro Monte di Varese, a medieval village on top of a hill. In the center is the Sanctuary, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The houses are built very close together. Our Transylvanian friend previously organized an exhibition up there, so we got a private tour of the museum, which was closed at that time. This is the view from one of the museum windows over the town.

I processed a balanced, an enhanced, and a photographic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive feedback.

This weekend is a big powwow happening at Stanford University. American Indians gather from all over the USA and Canada. Groups of many different tribes are arranged in a big circle. The tribes drum and chant, one group after the other, while dancers in traditional dress dance in the center of the circle. We mingled with a tribe from near Sacramento. This boy is participating in many powwows happening all summer. The father did some final adjustments before the dance. Elders judge the performances - there is a friendly competition going on. I felt a togetherness, maybe due to the drumming and chanting - a real uplifting experience! If you are local you can participate tonight or tomorrow Sunday, more at stanford.io/2GaUa83.

I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from a RAW exposure, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate your critical feedback.

Over Thanksgiving we went to Los Angeles. On Thanksgiving day we drove to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to see the Public Art "Urban Light", a light art installation using 202 cast iron street lamps. I took this backlight shot with the Dream Lens, which has so many "flaws", adding these beautiful lens flares and starbursts.

From Fort Trumbull

New London, Connecticut

Climbed up the belfry for a better view of Bruges. It was amazing to see how the buildings and housing are spaced.

I loved the way the sun highlighted certain buildings while the clouds muted the others.
