I published my review of the exhibition in the first comment
Developing high based storms over Belgium moved north towards The Netherlands.
These were fast moving storms so I had to act quickly to intercept them. I was just in time close to the historic town of Zaltbommel near the river Waal to capture these bolts.
I was photographing a thunderstorm to the northwest, when new storms arrived in the south to southeast. An angry sky came in with some vivid lightning bolts.
I like shooting storms at dusk......
A storm approached over the Pacific towards Acapulco Bay. For the next two hours, we got a spectacular, silent lightning show from our balcony. Strikes every minute or so. It eventually got close enough for thunder, but stayed dry.
Just another Storm in Maputo, Mozambique!
Since i´m living here, for 2 and a half years now, It is common to contemplate the beauty of the many Lightning Bolt Storms in this season.
This time i had the big luck of getting a far storm, without rain or wind (when i say wind i mean it...normally you can not put your head out of the window under penalty of flying away :) ).
I hope you enjoy a small sample of a true spectacle of nature!
Lightning Strike
The weather in July is often marked by heavy and small thunderstorms. On the first day of August 2017 a strong storm was forcasted over the Hof region. The Wartturm in the east of Hof was a good viewpoint to watch the lightning strikes. At the local festival the storm caused probably a short interruption. Shortly after I took this picture I buckled into my car - the thunderstorm was directly above me.
An unbelievable lightning storm last night passed us by to the North. This is an 8-second exposure. To watch it in real time was just amazing. Constant flickering with bolts coming out of the clouds with a speed that seemed like a time-lapse.
Here is the video I took with my phone.
Electrical Storm
Ground Strike and Cloud Loop
Campbelltown, NSW.
This may be a single lightning event or two separate events across the 30 second exposure period.

A large storm passed over with very heavy rain and wind making it impossible to shoot outside, managed some strikes through the window
The last day of the meteorological summer was also the best for lightning photography.
I chased a storm over the central and eastern part of The Netherlands and managed to take great lightning photographs in the valley of the river IJssel.
More photographs of this chase will follow.....
Last of my lightning captures that was worthy of posting taken down at Middle River. Waiting for the next time this can happen either here or at another neat location.
From previous post to this of the heron ... this view can give you a feel for how close the heron came in as I was about halfway out on this pier and the heron flew between me and the benches there at the end of the pier.
Nocturnal non-tornadic supercell with several multiple lightning strikes. This is a quintuple one. On the far left side, one can observe the rotating wall cloud. A funnel has been observed. No confirmed contact with the ground. Athens, Greece, Oct. 13, 2021.

Catching lightning the hard way, click and hope. There was so many lightning strikes that evening I was able to catch two, this one I had forgotten I had.
This morning was a wonderful light show. And through it all I never got wet! This one is a compilation of several lightning strikes taken at the beach in Deerfield.
