A ship passes the light house late in the afternoon as a man watches on the right. The Oregon Coast has a number of old light houses that guided ships up and down the coast.
This lighthouse is a LONG way from the car park for anyone planning on a sunset shoot! However, I managed to get there in plenty of time and as with alot of Anglesey & Snowdonia locations there were other photographers also present.
Went for a different composition to the classic shots and choose a large aperture to focus on the lighthouse itself. Also first time Ive used HDR Efex Pro 2 to balance out the bracketed exposures. Sadly the cloudbank prevented some sunset colour but still happy to get this.

This is the lighthouse that stands out in Plymouth, UK, and looks out over the sea. A nice sight, during the day and at night as well after a drink or two.
Today was a gorgeous day for a drive. We headed out early to Halifax and after lunch we visited Peggy's Cove. The fall colours were absolutely breathtaking along the way... I managed to stop a couple of times to get a few shots.
This is a shot of Peggy's Cove Lighthouse... the most photographed lighthouse in Canada !!!

Boca Chita Key is the island north of the upper Florida Keys in Biscayne National Park, Miami-Dade County, Florida. The key is located in Biscayne Bay, just north of Sands Key. An ornamental 65-foot lighthouse is present on the key. (Wiki)

near Pilsum, East Frisia. Erected 1889 as a Leading Light, put out of service in 1915. Today the red-yellow-striped lighthouse is a favourite spot for weddings.

It's getting closer to that time of year again -- Fall sunset season! I took this shot in picturesque Southampton, Ontario, Canada. If you ever get a chance to visit, I promise that you won't be disappointed.
Old and new Garðskagi lighthouses (new in the background) on the tip of the Reykjanes peninsula.
The new lighthouse is much taller than the old one, even if it does not look so in this picture.
This is composed from 3 exposures, the longest 58 seconds and the shortest 5 seconds.

The Covehead Harbour Lighthouse is square, tapered, 8.2 meter (26.9 ft) tall wooden tower surmounted by a square, wooden lantern. It is located among the sand dunes of Prince Edward Island National Park of Canada, on the beach just to the east of the entrance into Covehead Bay.

Sightseeing and playing the "tourists" on vacation was the order of the day. We took a bus ride to the southern most part of the island and had a wonderful time in this area. This island is such a unique part of Americana. I love how it holds a special place in time and won't let it out of its clutches.

The lighthouse was originally built at Battery Point in Portland in 1859 and was known as the Portland Bay Light. In 1889 it was relocated, stone by stone, to Whalers Bluff in order to make room for gun emplacements at Battery Point
