There was a little light show in Staithes a few months ago. That night, I noticed that even from here, you could hear people on the far side of the beck - the whole village is within earshot of itself
Day #23 “RIVER LIGHTENING” . While on the trail in Yosemite Valley the leader of our group, Charolette Gibb, encouraged us to look for the less obvious, the“mini-scapes” as she would call them,. This reflection (which lasted only a few minutes) of trees in moving water created a scene that looked like lightening on the surface For an amazing photographic delight, I suggest you visit www.charlottegibb.com. Her first ebook was just released yesterday. It is a treasure of inspiration and photographic fine art

Just some early morning sunlight with a homey, painterly look. Some mild texture was applied as well.

Happy Bokeh Wednesday!
It's been a while since I've uploaded anything as I've spent the last few weeks travelling around Australia with my girlfriend.
Anyway, I took this picture during a lightening storm from our 21st floor hotel appartment in Brisbane last week and it just had to be my first upload from my Ozzie collection of pics.
This was my first experience of a tropical lightening storm and I just couldn't believe how awesome it was. This image just about does it justice!
I've done no post processing on this image except to slightly crop it where I'd caught the window frame in shot.

This week I have a bad case of the flu. And so I couldn't take photos of me or other people. Then I got another way to use my camera. ;)
When the children flew out of the nest and our two dogs and one cat lived out their natural life spans, we looked around at the big empty house with a yard that took two hours to mow...and decided to downsize to a quiet townhouse complex.

Looking north, I took 28x5s images and stacked-lightened in Photoshop. These lenticular looking clouds actually moved quite a bit in this 2.3 minute capture.

Whilst en route to Tuzla I had a stop over in Berlin. I took the opportunity to visit the local station to photograph the comings and going’s.
There was plenty of Action but this class 66 caught my eye towing a dead electric.
Seen from the front and then going away in amazing lighting at Schönefeld in Berlin.
