We do not get much Thunder and Lightening so when it happens it is unexpected. So catch what you can. (Hand held, ISO 72000, 1/350 @ f9.5)

I see that second spelling used all the time... it must be stopped.

Beautiful evening for watching lightening. It is referred to as "dry lightening" when it is cloud-to-ground and not raining. This type of lightening causes many wildland fires especially when conditions are dry.

We had a bit of lightning last night but it was all show, no rain.

The River Arts District consists of a vast array of artists and working studios in 22 former industrial and historical buildings spread out along a one mile stretch of the French Broad River. This eclectic area is an exciting exploration of arts, food and exercise. Plan on spending a day or more visiting artists working in their studios, grabbing a bite of local cuisine or a brew and taking time to find art that’s perfect for your world.

More than 200 artists work in paint, pencil, pottery, metal, fiber, glass, wax, paper and more. As unique and individual as their art, so too are their schedules. There are no official “Open Hours” for the River Arts District, but at any given time throughout the year, you will find a plethora of open studios and galleries. If you are coming to see someone in particular, your best bet is to check in with them before your visit. Do it here, online via our search feature, or check the Studio Guide.

Image created from multiple exposures blended together in Photoshop layers using the "Lighten" blend mode. All exposures were taken with a single Einstein strobe with a 22" beauty dish attached to a boom arm. Send me a FlickrMail message, and I'll be more than happy to send you some information on mostly how I photograph this style and what equipment I use.

Before Christmas Starr & I decided to do a few Advents and it came to us that it would be a good way for us to show you some of the things we picked up along the way, with that do some sorting of our inventory because as you can imagine we picked up some amazing outfit that we wanted to share with you guys. Both the outfits here have come from-Le'La Store and it looks like we have the deer's approval too. And just to show its approval the tree in the background has lit up lol So please stick around for more of our Pre Christmas finds

Dipper white washing his rock.

My intention was to shoot the "Blue Moon", however the lightening was more interesting.

Lightning Crashes

Song by Live

Lightning crashes

A new mother cries

Her placenta falls to the floor

The angel opens her eyes

The confusion sets in

Before the doctor can even close the door

Lightning crashes

An old mother dies

Her intentions fall to the floor

The angel closes her eyes

The confusion that was hers

Belongs now, to the baby down the hall

Oh, now feel it coming back again

Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind

Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again

I can feel it

Lightning crashes

A new mother cries

This moment she's been waiting for

The angel opens her eyes

Pale blue colored iris presents the circle

And puts the glory out to hide, hide

Oh, now feel it comin' back again

Like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind

Forces pullin' from the center of the Earth again

I can feel it

I can feel it

I can feel it coming back again

Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind

Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again

I can feel it

I can feel it coming back again

Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind

Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again

I can feel it

I can feel it coming back again

Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind

Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again

I can feel it

I can feel it

I can feel it

I've seen a lot of photos of waxwings eating berries, but don't think I've ever seen one of them getting rid of them. Perhaps not surprisingly, they are still red on the other end of the process...

My inspiration song for this picture: EPIC POP | ''Masterpiece'' by WAR*HALL

I believe in you my Love

I know you can do everything you set up in your mind . . . . . no matter how hard it is because I believe in you ♥ . . . . Wherever you are or go my love will guide you it will lighten your way when it's dark it will give you support when you need it . . . . because Love is Hope . . . . so I let my light shine brightly . . . because my faith in you is unbreakable because I really love you from the depths of my soul and from the bottom of my heart ♥. . .

I can’t close my eyes . . .Can’t hold the hands of time to Stop and realize . . . . Just how fast it goes . . . . Seems like yesterday . . . . With your mess of paint . . . .Asking me to play . . . . Just how fast you grow ♥

Every paper heart is a work of art . . . Just like the way you are . . . And I don’t want to miss the masterpiece . . . . The beauty that’s blooming all around me . . . The birth of a child and the way they grow . . . The sun sinking down in the afterglow . . . The power of love from the seeds you sow . . . The trees bending down to the earth below . . . Daylight through the leaves . . . Singing on the breeze . . . Shades from red to green there’s a world divine

On a canvas sky Colors come to life perfectly designed for my ears and eyes

Feel the joy and pain . . . Feel the sun and rain . . . It’s all around me now ♥

You are my Masterpiece

And I don’t want to miss the masterpiece . . . this beautiful Life is my masterpiece

And I don’t want to miss a any Moment of it ♥♥♥ . . . . .

I haven't been to Chou Chou in probably 10 years. I was amazed it was still there. This song remands me of the mood. www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=fur%20elise&...

This morning I was watching a mother mallard trying to get her ducklings into the reeds while they were being divebombed by crows. A sudden burst of orange lightening and noise and the crows were scattered as this Bullock's Oriole attacked the crows. The crows disappeared and the Bullock's Oriole perched for a moment in triumph and headed back to a nearby tree where I suspect there was his mate and their nest. I have seen Eastern Kingbirds behave similarly.

I ridiculously lucky on this shot. It’s my First, my One...my Only shot of lightning. Have tried a few times since but no luck. Maybe tonight...tracking a front on radar and feel something’s in the air🍀.
