I tried a new light painting technique for this. I suspended a torch from the ceiling with string and span it around with the camera underneath on bulb mode.
The chronology of the Ronda arab bahts starts at the 13th-14th centuries. The bath is divided into three main zones, following the Roman model of thermal buildings:cold water, warm water and hot water bathrooms. The hydraulic system of the thermal bath has arrived to our days almost complete.

Mille merci à Kesha pour son sublime travail ^_^
Oslo sunset today 15:11. A solar pillar occurs when ice crystals in the atmosphere reflect the light of the setting sun.
Little Jay is his Mummy's gift from god after years of trying for a baby. From a fun session today with Jay and Mum.
This was my first 'proper' photo shoot, it was hard work, I felt like I was trying to race against the clock before the baby cried or got whingey. I discovered my new camera wasn't in AV like I thought it was half way through, oh and that I need some kind of backdrop. Great learning experience, and I even managed to stop the baby from crying at the end of the session- I think that's what they call progress :) x
Light painting with a torch in my hallway.
Image made up of 3 exposures. Post processing included changing the colour balance and using a layer mask.
Also used liquify to make some shapes.
Replaced.. slight crop. There was too much black space at the bottom, was bugging me :)
My Home Depot octagonal ring light. Made of 1" PVC pipe fittings. I use 100 watt bulbs.
The entire project took about 3 hours including painting it. I used 8 lights, 7 T's, 2 (4 way T's), 8 45* fittings and wire.
I can't remember where I saw this design, just designed it on paper and put it together. You should have no trouble finding plans on the internet. Good luck.
When you are having difficulty in finding a shot, (not a good thing when doing a 365) follow the light. It will usually lead to something half decent. On my way home with nothing to show for my daily shot I came across this water fountain at the entrance of our neighbourhood with the light shinning through it. Daily shot done!

An interesting light bulb that I came across. I liked the shape of the filament.
I'd be grateful for any comments.

My participation to the 55th weekend contest by lense[.]fr : "Sound Factory".
The aim was to illustrate a song with a picture, the title of the photograph was to be the title of the song.
I must admit I rather tried to illustrate the title through the composition, rather than the song's lyrics ;)

This weekend I attended a workshop organized by the Academy of Visual Media, New Delhi on fashion and product photography. The entire concept was new to me. This is the first time I ever photographed with artificial lights. The group was really really good and the leader was outstanding. Ranjan Sharma on fashion and Titrha Dasgupta on table-top and product were just superb! Here is my first tabletop, artificial light, photograph.
Rescanning some old stuff.. And adding a new frame for my slides.
Now I regret having fixed my SLR against Light-Leaks.
Energetic shiny light, colored in orange and blue tones. Was experimenting with a brighter lighting here. Took a lot of time to get it just right!

Just a will to try the black and white in a park where we usually take pictures in colors. Taken at Saint-Pons park, Gemenos, near Marseilles

“Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.”

Light trails of traffic heading under the Rise sculpture, on the Broadway Roundabout Belfast.
Here is a short timelapse video of the sculpture too.
