'Light bends 2' is a color variation of Light Bends 1- both are abstract macro photographs of light refracted through glass.
I stand alone in darkness observing beautiful light place far away. The place is separated by spiky bushes, twisted branches and fallen rotten trees. I try to get through, but how far do I get? I'm all teared, beaten and bleeding, yet nowhere closer to the place of peace and beauty. Then I realize, that I'm a tree and the roots are holding me strongly on my place not letting me go. And the fallen rotten trees all around are those who cut their roots and tried to leave. They died. It is a destiny of a tree to stay on one place for all the long life. It would be so wonderful to get free and reach the place of my dream! But the only way how not to be a tree is to cut the roots...
A sculpture (title and sculptor unknown) was erected by the Pacific shore, where is an excellent place for most people love to admire the sunset scenery. Is located at Rockaway Beach, San Mateo County, Northern California.
Infinity glass tealight in the darkness.
Crazy Tuesday: "Light"
On/Off - Thank you very much for your visit and taking the time to comment or fave! Much appreciated!
I'll be catching up slowly and I'm sorry that I don't have the time to comment in all your photos after so many weeks absent of Flickr. Thank you! 💕
Inspiration from The Grove Country Club Estates
Just when you think hope is lost
And giving up is all you got
And blue turns black, your confidence is cracked
There seems no turning back from here
Sometimes there isn't an obvious explanation
Why the holiest hearts can feel the strongest palpitations
That's when you can build a bridge of light
That's what turns the wrong so right
That's when you can't give up the fight
That's when love turns night-time into day
That's when loneliness goes away
That's why you got to be strong tonight
Only love can build us a bridge of light
(from "Happy Feet Two" soundtrack)
This is an old school house at O'Hara Mills in Madoc, Ontario. I love how the beautiful winter light filters in through the dark room giving a mysterious feel to the room.
Thank you all so much for visiting. Your support is very appreciated.

No simple feat, to light a place unknown, untouched and undiscovered.
The eternal storm quaffed, quelled and quieted.
Always the dance of light and shadow, colored, conjured and coaxed.
A light touch, a fresh breath and a simple pleasure rediscovered.
Sharing a simple play of light and color to cap off the weekend.
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
-Martin Luther King, Jr.
Sometimes there is a beautiful light.
Which reflects on all things: sky, eyes, windows.
Time smiles and people fall in love.

This was one of my favourite light displays at Vivid this year. It was amazing to walk through here!! If you look carefully, you can see all the people in there. Last weekend Sydney was struck by extreme weather and this display was damaged by the gale force winds. It has now been fixed. In fact, lights at Vivid were switched off for two nights, except for The Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This was for safety reasons because of the weather.
Sorry everyone for not being on Flickr much lately, I've been so busy. I will have time over our long weekend to catch up:)) Have a wonderful weekend my friends!

It is always a surprise what my cheap little Nikon plastic film camera does with the light
A headstone tucked away in a corner at Brompton Cemetery, Grasses, plants and ivy has reclaimed the corner and dark evening light illuminated the scene.
All matter, unless at the lowest temperature absolute, emits light (or, radiation). The hotter, the more so. As long as light is visible - and it does not matter where it comes from - we can use it for photography, generally speaking. In this specific case, however, the light source does not agree with my electronic shutter ("banding") so that the mechanical shutter was used. Fuji X-E3 plus Samyang tele lens at F5.6.
