Taming Light #18
Many of you think that these light refraction patterns look like underwater creatures, particularly jellyfish - so I thought I'd try to create one in light. On the the other hand you could be forgiven for thinking it looks more like a three legged 'octopus' wearing a red hat. :)
New viewers; these are analogue images captured on film of light shining through transparent objects that I create in plastics. This is lensless photography - the object takes the place of the lens in the camera.

Light Art in the Åman Park, arranged by Alingsås Energy Company in cooperation with "Utskottet". It is one of the extra light installations during the event "Lights in Alingsås 2024".
Alingsås Municipality organises the event Lights in Alingsås every autumn. Since 2000 the municipality has worked with the PLDA (Professional Lighting Designers´ Association). Every year in september/october leading international lighting designers come to Alingsås to hold a week´s workshop with participants from all over the world. Together they light a number of buildings and locations around the town centre. Around 70,000 people come every year to see the designs during the month-long event.

Light is the best painter. This was early morning on our way down from Moses Mountain (Sinai, Egypt). This what you can see was just waiting aside to be shot. Side hard light painted the surface so perfect.
Please have a look at Large On Black. Really :)
Thank you everyone for your messages etc. about the problems I'm having with my arm. It's a lot better already... although there's a long way to go yet before I'll be able to play with the camera and/or photoshoppping etc... so I'm sticking to a few old SOOC shots for the moment.
I'm trying to keep up as much as I can... although I still can't comment as much as I'd like.
Hope you're all having a great weekend, wherever you are!!
NB: Questo non e' un particolare ritagliato della foto precedente , ma e' proprio tutto un altro scatto con tutt'altri simbolismi-emozioni-pensieri !!!

it's pointless for me to keep doing a 365 when most of the photos are of nothing (you guys haven't seen a lot of the stuff i still have to upload...), so i might switch to a 52 weeks
anyway, here's an empty living room :o
We have a Magnolia tree in our garden. The sun sets behind it and I loved the way the light shows up the hairs on it.
no rules, no limitations, no boundaries it's like an artâ„¢

The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. Psalm 19:8
You know that it would be untrue.
You know that I would be a liar
if I was to say to you , ay,
Girl we couldn't get much higher.
Come on baby light my fire, come on baby light my fire.
Try to set the night on fire. Mm-m,
The time for hesitation's through.
There's no time to wallow in the mire
Darling we could only lose
and our love become a funeral pyre.
Come on baby light my fire, come on baby light my fire.
Try to set the night on fire.

It is true that the best camera you have is the one you have on you. Although I carry my Ricoh GRIII with me all the times a daily camera, often it is easy to get a photo with the camera on your phone and this was one.
I didn't have long to take it before the platform become busy or I lost the long light trails from the sun, timing was just right.
The light trails is my favourite part of the photo, often at certain times of the day or even year depending how low the sun is, it can shine perfectly at either end of the Station shed. When it shines through the glass and gaps it creates these lines which make for an interesting photo.
Hope you are having a great week so far!
