I saw a cool post on Lifehacker about making digital images look like movie stills using photoshop. I tried this just for fun.
This is the error message the office printer was showing this morning. Standard, or an IT guy practical joke?

From Nature (magazine), 7 Oct 2010, "Lifehackers: Amateur hobbyists are creating home-brew molecular biology labs, but can they foment a revolution?"

I'm trying out JUploader, a new Flickr upload tool recommended by Lifehacker. iPhoto can upload, but it has taken over 30 minutes to upload a single photo. Seriously. At the moment, my method of choice is plain old email, but that doesn't work so well for more than one photo at a time.
My desktop entry for the Lifehacker Desktop Show and Tell.
Oh, and the desktop image courtesy of "swissboy" on SXC.
hehe by who else but from Gina Trapani (Ms. Lifehacker herself). Firefox addon Better Gmail2 will stick Google Calendar and Google reader underneath each other in Gmail. For the Calendar I think it's really useful.
My iPhone apps were starting to get out of control, so I googled methods for organizing them. I found two articles that inspired me to do the following:
-Make a blank home screen
-Create a Faves folder on the dock
-Organize other apps into folders titled with action verbs
-Start those folders on page 2 of the home screen
It's not a flawless system -- Photo isn't an action verb, and Photograph is too long -- but so far it does seem very tidy and intuitive.
