We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

আজ বাবা দিবস। শুকনা কথায় নাকি চিড়ে ভিজে না। তাই, বাবা দিবসে শুকনা শুভকামনা জানিয়ে বিশ্বের সকল বাবাদের ছোট করতে চাচ্ছি না। ইন ফেক্ট, বাবারা এসব কখনই চান নি বলে আমার ধারণা। উনারা যেটা চান, সেটা আমি-আপনি সকলে জানি।
যেকোন বাবাই চান, তার সন্তানেরা মানুষ হোক।
কথায় আছে, ঘুমিয়ে আছে শিশুর পিতা সব শিশুরই অন্তরে। আমাদের মাঝেই আমাদের বাবাদের বহিঃপ্রকাশ। সন্তান প্রতিষ্ঠিত হলে, এর থেকে বড় উপহার বোধ করি, বাবার জীবনে আর কিছু নেই।
বাবা দিবসে তাই এটাই প্রত্যাশা থাকবে, আমাদের মধ্যে যেন আমাদের বাবাদের সুপ্রকাশ ঘটে। আমরা যেমন উনাদের নিয়ে গর্বিত, আমাদের বাবারাও যেন আমাদের নিয়ে অহংকার করতে পারেন।

Somewhere... sometime... spirits are all connected... synchronized... that everyone is made for the others...
Like a hidden guard, shares your thoughts, shares your feelings, and is there for you to give you encouragement, support and advices, or even just make you feel better...
For every matter shown on your way, there will be always a healing spirit knows what you feel... sometimes maybe because they’re more wise or with more experiences, or sometimes just because they’re being them !!
As the lovely lady I’ve met in my new job, I’m new there, a little confused, and want to show them what I can do... for some reason she discovered me, she’s there for me, to give that dose of words to make me speak... at the same time, I’m there for her, as she feels that she can’t open her heart to anyone except me...
As a lot of my friends here... always make me feel happy........ and I always make them smile....... I wonder why !!! .... why ? :))
Every meeting in our lives is arranged for some reason, more we are connected... more we can make our lives better and joyful... so, don’t worry about anything, be sure that whatever you face in your life, there is always a soul can feel you, and will be there for you just in the right time... at the same time, YOU are the healing spirit for another... even if you didn’t know that... and so on...

ছবিটি তোলা সিলেটে। জাফলং যাওয়ার পথে হাইওয়ের পাশেই পাহাড়-টিলা, চা বাগান আর ঝর্ণাধারার সন্নিবেশে জায়গাটি। ঝর্ণা দেখতে গিয়েই হঠাৎ পাহাড়ের ঢালে ভেড়াগুলোকে দেখলাম। সবুজের মাঝে হালকা বাদামী কালারটা বেশ ভাল্লাগছিল। ল্যাপটপে উবুন্টুর একটা ওয়ালপেপার ছিল এই টাইপের। তাই শাটার টিপতে আর দেরি করিনি। বৃষ্টি হচ্ছিল তখন। এক হাতে ছাতা ধরে মনমত মুহূর্ত ক্যামেরায় ফ্রেমবন্দী করা দেখলাম কম কষ্ট না।
পাশেই কিছু শ্রমিক চা বাগানে কাজ করছিল। দূরে হচ্ছিল গুড়িগুড়ি বৃষ্টি। মেঘের আড়ালে যে পাহাড় দেখা যাচ্ছে, ওটা কিন্তু বাংলাদেশের নয়, ইন্ডিয়ার। পাহাড়টাই দেশের সীমান্ত। যদিও বুঝা যাচ্ছে না, কিন্তু, এই দুই পাহাড়ের মাঝের উপত্যকার ব্যাপ্তি কিন্তু কম নয়। ডেপথ অফ ফিল্ড আরেকটু বেশি হলে দূরের পাহাড় আর বৃষ্টির ফোঁটাগুলো আরো স্পষ্ট আসত। এর আগের ছবিটাতেই এক ফ্রেন্ডের পোর্ট্রেট তুলেছিলাম। সাথে সাথে পাশেই ভেড়াগুলোকে দেখে সাডেন স্ন্যাপ নিতে গিয়ে ছবিটাতে আর এপারচার চেঞ্জ করা হয়নি। ছবিটি তোলার পর প্রসেসিংয়ের সময় বুঝলাম, এপারচার একটু কম হয়ে গিয়েছে।
বৃষ্টি, মেঘ, পাহাড়, ঝর্ণা, বাগান, ক্যামেরা! বাহ! আর কী লাগে!!!

Do you know what are the tiny treasures ?
The tiny treasures, fast moments like an eye blink, meeting strangers on the way of your daily life, gaining a great wisdom from them, you might never see them again or know their names, but for some reason you can never forget them whole your life...
An old lady I met once in the bus, told me about her life journey and how she’s fighting everyday to depend on herself and make her dreams by herself, working and living and even going to her regular health check alone, I wondered why, and where are her brothers and cousins and friends, how I wished that I could help her in any way, but somehow I discovered she is so happy and doesn’t need anyone to help her... maybe I needed her wisdom !
In another day, I helped an old lady to cross the street, carried her groceries and walked with her until we got to a care house for old age, the whole way she was talking about the great job some people do by giving those old people care, money, medical check, all kinds of help, so I asked her: “what a great work you do, so you come here often to offer them help ?”... she smiled and answered “no, I live here...”... I asked her again “you mean as a help hand ? and you give them money by your own ?”... She laughed “no..... they give me money !”
How I felt embarrassed and blushed by my stupid questions and I said to myself “oh my God how fool I am !!!”...
Then I asked her if she wants me to walk the stairs with her... she said no need for that, and she smiled and thanked God for everything she got, she was happy for having a place to live in and people to take care of her, she thanked me too and she seemed so happy for meeting me, and I gave her my number if she needs any help, she never called, maybe she forgot me, or maybe she left this life, but I never forget her...
And I wondered the same question “where is everybody ???”
I have a lot of stories like this, but don’t want to bore you with them...
Be grateful... for God for everything he give... and for people who make your life more beautiful...
Stick with those you love... never let them go...
You have... but others don’t...

As life doesn't stop or wait for anyone, problems and sorrow exist in life, if you stopped your life or lost your faith at a certain moment thinking why this happened and why it didn't happen as you wished, while everyone around you continue moving, nothing will change, unless you change your way of thinking, and see matters from another corner, as tests you have to pass and deal with it, at that corner you will see the light that will guide you to what you wished...
So you know now what you've gotta do when life gets you down ? ... just keep moving... or "swimming" !!! :))

Easy tips to have a simple happy life everyday :)
1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God about what is going on in your life.
3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement,
'My purpose is to__________ today. I am thankful for______________'
4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan
salmon, broccoli , almonds & walnuts.
6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.
9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
12. You are not so important that you have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Feel grateful for everything you got, starting with your body, to things you got to live like a house, food, clean water, beautiful nature, peace.... always whenever you feel stressed or dislike something and have problems, think about those who don’t have these gifts and don’t live like we live...
14. Appreciate the existence of the precious people around you, show them the love and care you hold in your heart for them, before you lose them.... or before they lose you !
15. Help someone in need or stress, free their minds and lighten their hearts by anything, it can be a very simple way how you can enter the happiness and relief in someone’s heart, by hug, kiss, word, smile, prayer.... even if that person was a stranger you meet for the first time...

I envy them.

I am changing..
Filling gaps of others following the older generation ..

We visited White River Gardens in downtown Indianapolis recently, located next to the Indianapolis Zoo.
This was in the Butterfly Garden.
I find the color pencils are a lot like human beings. One can find various colors of pencils at the box set. Our society is more like a pencil box. In society, there live people of various colors and beliefs. Some are good, some are bad. Some are optimistic, some are pessimistic. Some are crooked. Some are not. The world is filled with people with these reciprocities.
Life is more like a box of colored pencils. You know different colored pencils will be there. Just like you know, you’ll come across all kinds of people on the way of living.
আমার কাছে রং পেন্সিলগুলোকে অনেকটা মানুষের মত মনে হয়। একটা বক্সে বহু ধরণের বহু বর্ণের কালার পেন্সিল থাকে। অনেকটা হিউম্যান সোসাইটির মত। এখানে মানুষ আছে নানা বর্ণের, নানা বৈশিষ্ট্যের, নানান মূল্যবোধের বৈপীরিত্যের।
মেডিকেল লাইফ পুরোদমে চলতে থাকলে একটানা লেকচার, টিউটোরিয়াল, আইটেম এক্সাম, ওয়ার্ডে ডিউটির চাপে ক্যামেরা হাতে নেয়ার সময় তেমন হয়ে ওঠে না। ফটোওয়াকে তো বের হওয়া হয়না বললেই চলে। তখন হাত নিশপিশ করে ছবি তোলার জন্য। বেশ কিছুদিন আগে ঠিক এরকম এক দিনে বাসায় বসে থাকতে থাকতে হঠাৎ ড্রয়ারের কোণায় পড়ে থাকা রঙ পেন্সিলের বক্সটা দেখে ছবি তোলার ভূত চাপল মাথায়। তুলে ফেললাম বেশ কিছু।
ছবিগুলো তুলতে ১৮-৫৫মিmm আর ৫০mm প্রাইম ইউজ করেছি।
এটা ছাড়াও আর কিছু ছবি আছে "Color pencils" সেটে। চেক আউট করলে ভালো লাগবে। লিঙ্কঃ
