凌晨一點一五分,無眠。只好打開音樂,靜靜呆著。

Welcome to my life

In my garden.

Just a selection of what's still doing in November.

The Muntjac Deer skull obviously hasn't "been doing" for a while. After two years drying out in the greenhouse it finally looks sufficiently bleached, and as its a still-life, I can use props if I want, can't I?

Sez this moose in downtown Old Forge, New York. In fact, the future's so bright he has to wear shades.

We live on front porches and swing life away

We get by just fine here on minimum wage

If love is a labor I'll slave 'til the end

I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand

i'm not too big on posting song lyrics, but I recently discovered this song, and these lyrics are genius.

“Life Underground” is a permanent public artwork created in 2001 by American sculptor Tom Otterness for the 14th Street - Eighth Avenue station of the NYC Subway. The installation is a series of whimsical miniature bronze sculptures depicting cartoon like characters showing people and animals in various situations, and additional abstract sculptures, which are dispersed throughout the station platforms and passageways. The sculptor said the subject of the work is "the impossibility of understanding life in New York” and describes the arrangement of the individual pieces as being “scattered in little surprises”

Really pleased with this street shot, taken from the 7th floor rooftop of Birmingham Library.

It's a combination of the couple taking a selfie, the sculpture of the family and the couple walking into the scene, all set on what looks like a baseball pitch!

Well, I am an idiot walking a tightrope of fortune and fame,

I am an acrobat swinging trapezes through circles of flame,

If you've never stared off in the distance, then your life is a shame

and though I'll never forget your face,

sometimes i can't remember my name

Its not always the wider scene that catches the eye. When I noticed the light on the wall, farmhouse and fells I quickly pulled over the car and found a safe spot to take this shot. The long telephoto lens helped to compress the scene. Im constantly surprised and impressed at the sharpness of this lens, even when hand held like this
