Running out of new photography due to the lockdown and looking back to some older images - in this case the Library of Birmingham in January 2014
The domed ceiling of the Library of Parliament in Ottawa.
The Library of Parliament (French: Bibliothèque du Parlement) is the main information repository and research resource for the Parliament of Canada. The main branch of the library sits at the rear of the Centre Block on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario, and is the last untouched part of that larger building's original incarnation after it burned down in 1916. The library has been augmented and renovated a number of times since its construction in 1876, the last between 2002 and 2006, though the form and decor remain essentially authentic. The building today serves as a Canadian icon, and appears on the obverse of the Canadian ten-dollar bill.
The library is overseen by the Parliamentary Librarian of Canada and an associate or assistant librarian. The Canadian Parliamentary Poet Laureate and the Parliamentary Budget Officer are also considered to be officers of the library.
This is a completely changed photo of the Salt Lake City library from the outside. I really messed with this photo, for Slider's Sunday Group.
Edited in Topaz ReStyle, one of their vintage programs.
See original in first comment.
HSS everyone! Happy Slider's Sunday!
Polzn-Kaspar-Haus, built in 1595.
The "employees" of the library are all volunteers.

I never tire of visiting the Central Library in Birmingham. There are so many floors and so many angles to photograph, not to mention all those fabulous books, archives, maps and manuscripts.
John Rylands library is an imposing building with elaborate ceilings and imposing statues within. I had the opportuinity to visit it for the first time with a few mates and was struck by the beauty of the library. I will not cover the whats and the whyfor's of the building as it has been covered in intense detail by other Flickr contributors but felt I needed to post some photos as a memento of the visit. Forgive me if there are similar shots on Flickr but it is one of the most photographed buildings in Manchester.

I was fortunate to travel to the East Coast with 8th graders for 18 years. We started in Boston
and ended in Washington DC. I'm working on a book of images from our trips.
And I don't believe you live in a library
Sleeping with a book-blanket out at sea
The next time I wake up I want to be
In a rabbit hole to the sound of you
Making coffee
David Walsh's extensive personal library is housed at MONA and can be accessed through this tunnel. Like all spaces inside MONA there are wonderful tricks of light and perspective, as can be seen to some degree in this shot.
Qatar National Library, designed by OMA, Rem Koolhaas, is located at Education City, Doha, Qatar. It was designed in 2008 - 2010 and built in 2012 - 2017.
The performers from A. A. Gymnastics visted the library and put on a demonstration for the kids with exciting leaps, flips and tumbles.
Today I finished the Brooklyn Public Library's "Browse The Branches" challenge. Collecting a sticker for my booklet at each branch visited. It's been a lot of fun visiting all the different neighborhoods. Brooklyn Public Library has 62 branches and a bookmobile.
Each of the branches had something special about it and this one - the Stone Avenue Branch in Brownsville, Brooklyn was not only the last branch I visited but also one of my favorites.
The building was one of the last Carnegie libraries built in Brooklyn and opened in September, 1914. Originally it was the Brownsville Children's Library and believed to be the first library in the world devoted to serving children. On its 100th Anniversary in 2014 the branch underwent renovations. The back wall that can be seen in the photo is a Word Wall displaying Fry Words - the 1,000 words most used in reading and writing.
