One of the many transfer jobs in the STL area pulls out of Lesperance Yard with an SD40-2 / SD70M duo.
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z06 C8 - 2025 model.
Obviously an 'entry level' vehicle, lol.
The Z06 'flagship' Corvette: a 5.5 litre naturally aspirated V8 engine.
Found today along Central Avenue at Thornleigh in northern Sydney.
Parked outside the entry to the Bunnings Home Hardware Store, and opposite McDonalds (where I had gone to get a coffee from McCafe).

Going back to our holiday home near Looe I decided to avoid the very narrow road through Downderry on the Cornish coast and take to the country lanes. This lane with the usual high hedges on either side leads to Polbathic. I just had to stop here and admire the view before the rain started. In the distance on the left is Kit Hill near Callington. It is nearly 1,100 feet above sea level. The tower on the top is a mine ventilation shaft. Metals extracted from the mines around Kit Hill included tin, silver, copper and tungsten. Most mines had closed by the end of the 19th century.

Peckham Levels is a cultural events venue transformed from a multi-storey car park on Rye lane, Peckham. The entrance is in a colourful alley at the back.
This is Lake Vyrnwy , the stone dam on which i am standing to get this photo was built in the 1880s and was the first of its kind in the world . The reservoir was built to supply Liverpool with fresh water . When they flooded the valley it submerged the small village of Llanwddyn which still lies under the water . The water level was quite low on the day i got this shot and the small branches sticking out of the water must be the top of an old tree .
