[Guide's notes]
MUSEUM OF LONDON/WESLEY FLAME
It is a bronze of a page of type from Wesley's Diary. The typeface is Caslon Old Face, incorporates the long "s" as well as greek type. The back of the monument lets us know the bookseller, the printer, W. Strahan, and William Caslon, typefounder. Caslon foundry was in Chiswell St. There is a plaque.

After spending my normal work day primarily on a computer, it is nice to step away from staring at a screen in the evenings. Hand lettering is just one of the analog based activities that I have been practicing that still allows me to fulfill my need for creative output.
