I was inspired by Nichol Locher whose embroidered top, I love, but don't have the guts to wear (nor the budget). My It was the first embroidery I had started in over 20 years, but not the first I finished. Ahem. Some mistakes I made in this project were:
1. Starting w/o a plan other than the letters - so I finally gave up on what to add to it and just plopped a little wrapped gift on one end.
2. Using cheap pillowcases I had on hand - the emroidery is not crooked - the seam is. So a lot of work onto a bad substrate. Bummer.
Backstitch, satin stitch, French knot and whatever that loopy stitch is called... lazy daisy? Anyone?

This is the other sided of the pillowcase. Where the seam is straight. There is a "Hers" version that needs the decorative bit on each side that hopefully I get done soon-ish. WIth each there is a naughty side and a nice side. I started with the naughty side, but wanted them to be flexible in case for some reason some of my niece- or nephew- types will be in the bedroom.
Seems I always get stuck with taking pictures of letterings that I pass along the way... and I hate to say it, but it is taken with the camera of my mobile.
