Nos foi solicitado trabalhar com um sinal gráfico que remetesse à uma labareda de fogo, que na doutrina cristã simboliza a ação e manifestação do Espírito Santo, e a missão da comunidade maranathá é levar essa ação aos quatro cantos da terra.

Work identity and brand building for Maranatha Christian community that works with the evangelization of young people around the world.
We were asked to work with a graphic sign that refers to a flaming fire, which symbolizes the Christian doctrine in action and manifestation of the Holy Spirit and mission of the Maranatha community is taking this action to the four corners of the earth.

... renovating an old house name sign. I decided to switch from painting to routing the lettering. This started well, until old age caught up with the insulation in my dear old router, and it burned out (that's a very characteristic smell, which I remember well from repairing pumps). So, on our way over to see the goats, we stopped in Axminster and I picked up a new router: more than double the power of the old one, a great deal easier to steer, and about the same price after twenty years - not bad going, I thought.
So this is part way through the job. The main outline of the D is cut, but I've not yet smoothed out the bumps in the curve. The font is a bit odd, but we worked it up from lettering on an old record cover; it matches a frieze around one of our rooms.
A spray-painted calligraphic design of the word "like" that reads the same upside-down as it does the right way up.
Surprisingly styrofoam is a very useful and durable signage material. Easily shaped with computer-controlled cutters, foam can depict lettering and logos quite well. Foam also hold paint well and survives most weather too. The best thing about 3D foam signs? The price point is about 30% of metal!
