After reading lesson one and doing some scribbling I decided to do an exercise from the lesson, draw a piece of fruit. On the left is my first attempt. I tried to do too much, too many layers, although I do like the top pencil marks showing. So I turned the peach for another view and tried it again, this time attempting to exercise some restraint. I think it's better but still doesn't have the freshness I was hoping for.
I set the ISO low since we were outside. Then I set the aperture to 5.6 so I would get more in focus. Finally I knew I needed the shutter to be high so I could capture the splashing water.
Last night we hand tied a floral bouquet - trust me, it's harder than it looks.
Taken with my iPhone and Olloclip fisheye lens - processed in Snapseed with a little Lightroom vignette.
My mother's brother, Steve Yuha and his wife Marge had 12 children. The Yuha clan hosts a family reunion every couple of years. This year it was in Tofield, Alberta and David and my Mom and I attended. A good time was had by all.

Memory and regular study have definite value and it always helps you in
leading a life. You are able to survive even if you can make some mark
in the path of the life. With artificial intelligence, you can survive

genius dies in you.
7. Necessity Is The Mother Of Invention
Necessity creates pressure and forces you to invent something or to make
it happen or to use your potentiality. Aamir Khan in this film, 3 idiots,
is able to prove in the film by using vacuum pump at the last moment.
8. Simplicity is Life
Life is need base never want base. Desires have no ends. Simplicity is
way of life and Indian culture highly stresses on simple living and high
thinking, and this is the way of life: ‘Legs down to earth and eyes looking
beyond the sky’
9. Industrial Leadership
Dean of the institute in 3 idiots is showing very typical leadership. He
has his own principles, values and ideology, and he leads the whole institute
accordingly. This is an example of current institutional leadership. In
the present scenario, most of the institutes are fixed in a block or Squarish
thinking.
10. Love Is Time & Space Free
Love is not time bound and space bound. It is very well demonstrated in
this movie same love was demonstrated by Krishna and Meera. Love is border
free, time free and space free.
11. Importance Of One Word In Communication
If communication dies, everything dies. Each word has impact and value
in communication. One word if used wrongly or emphasized wrongly or paused
at a wrong place in communication what effect it creates and how is it
affected is demonstrated very well in this mo

OK, the most important lesson I learned in my recent photography class: When you're done shooting, always put all your settings back to 'normal'!!!!!
Saw a (relatively rare) piebald deer today, and was so excited because I actually had my camera in the car with me! Then I got home and realized that my lens was set on manual focus from earlier in the day. So all of my deer shots are completely out of focus. Now I'm going to have stalk this deer through the Metroparks so I can get a decent shot of it. What I really don't understand, though, is how I didn't even notice it the whole time I was shooting the deer?!?
