I ready somewhere that one the of the first lessons of portrait photography was finding a good angle. I don't think I did too well here, but I seemed to capture three at the same time in the lift at work.

Japanese culture lessons with Nakayama sensei

We had to leave since a band we wanted to see was getting ready to start on the main stage.

a friend at camp said last fall that she wanted to learn to knit. She pursued getting lessons and finally made all the arrangements. She invited all the women and girls at camp to come. Nobody could come.

 

She asked Chickie and me, and I said we'd like to but couldn't during the day because I had two boys too small to be left at home with their 10-y-o brother. She said her 16-y-o would be happy to watch my boys for two mornings so that Chickie and I could come along with her and her daughter. And he and his younger brother did. Cheerfully. Wow.

 

So the lovely and patient Roxanne of Woolderness taught the four of us to knit. This was my fourth time learning. I think it might have actually 'clicked' this time; I think all four of us got it! I'm happy, and grateful. Chickie's even happier.
