This is no where near what Pam was expecting I'm sure. I love doing teeth. Yes, Supergirl was a childhood hero!
I drew this free handed from real life objects. It took me about an hour and a half. Sorry the picture quality isn't that great, I'm having problems with my printer's scanner. Hopefully you will be able to see it though!
I'll call this finished for now. I am thinking it is too easy to keep "piddling" with this one. This was a great learning experience. I think I actually felt something CLICK while I was painting one day! Thanks, Nel!
My desk - showing grid, set up lines and inked lines. Found it tricky to use the grid to assist with the setup - prefer to use measured set up and object relationships for spacing. The grid did help with proportions for the sewing box.
I'm using visuals to keep on with my French lessons
(My new year's resolution for 2012 is to learn French! I want to document my progress to see how terrible I started out and see if I improved by the end of the year. I will be posting once a week my videos)

The occasion, however, is lesson planning. We spent a week or so, maybe two weeks, getting our art lessons in shape before we had any campers show up. Dianne was teaching natural tie-dying, and the salt was part of the process (if memory serves) of creating a yellow dye out of onionskins.
1.) When going on an HDR photo walk always bring a tripod
2.) ISO 800 on a ~4 year old camera does not compare to ISO 800 on current cameras (at all…)
3.) Even though it wasn't possible to make a multi-shot HDR from this sequence you can still learn a lot by finding creative ways to cover the blemishes :-)
During my second year of nursing school our professor gave us a quiz. I breezed through the questions until I read the last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was a joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Before the class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our grade. "Absolutely," the professor said. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say hello." I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy. ~Joann C. Jones
