When approached with the unique task of creating a backyard oasis in Brooklyn, NY, with six adjoining backyards, the team at Platinum Site Development accepted the challenge. At the homeowner’s request, we created a hidden retreat environment equal to the most private exclusive resorts. Platinum Site Development designed a vignette-like atmosphere where every place in the property was used for an exclusive purpose. A formal dining area overlooks the property, complete with a Tuscan-style pergola, a professional kitchen and full bar to entertain guests, and when the mood strikes, a custom wood-fired pizza oven to create a slice of culinary art. Limited by lot size, material transportation and storage, Senior Project manager Jason Kreth conducted his team with the precision of a symphony orchestra and was able to complete the project within the allotted time and budget, creating the backyard oasis of the homeowners’ dreams.
Sat just thirty feet from his brother, this young Roe deer is no longer a twin. For the last nine months they were inseperable. It is sometimes hard enough to accept when nature controls such a small population, but when a death is not a natural event, I really struggle.

SOME OF US ARE NOT GOOD AT RHYMING. SOME OF US CAN'T WRITE SONGS. SOME CAN'T PLAY INSTRUMENTS. SOME CAN'T WRITE STORIES. NONETHELESS DEEP INSIDE EVERY PERSON IS A DESIRE TO EXPRESS TO SOMEONE A PART OF THEMSELVES. AN EXPERIENCE. A MEMORY. A THOUGHT. WE LIVE AMONG THOSE WHO HAVE A HANDICAP FOR WORDS, YET IN SPITE OF EVERYTHING, WORK IS PRODUCED & EXPRESSION IS ACCOMPLISHED. LOTS OF LETTERS ARRANGED INTO LOTS OF WORDS CAN SAY LITTLE. BUT WHEN FEW LETTERS PRODUCE FEW WORDS AND CARRY MUCH WEIGHT, THAT MY FRIEND, IS A PHENOMENA.
Franny was considerably less than thrilled to have her territory invaded not only by a lot of people, but by two dogs. When only Pepper was around, she was content to sit on the chair and watch carefully. But Bill and Paula brought little Bubbles, only about half Franny's weight but a lively puppy who yipped at Franny. When Bubbles was in the house, Franny retreated to a high bookshelf.
a poem for Yel:
At day I see the Sun,
At night I see the moon,
However, you, dear student, so learned that you are now,
can see the two,
all at once,
any time of your day,
with all five senses combined,
in your very own place.
That place I limitedly call and name as such,
though is just a translation and not as much.
For that which where you dwell now,
is yet for me to know,
here in this plane, i cannot so.
While it's not within my conception,
to you, it's a never ending musical motion,
the reward for your most dignified sacrifice,
at that moment you gave up materialism, wealth, and all human device.
So I let you go, my sweet friend,
I keep impressing thoughts for you to ascend,
as less dense as you are now and ever will be,
so is my pull on you; less gravity.
