The monument has a hole in the roof, and on the 16th of Dec (The Day of Remembrance) the light shines from this hole through the opening in the floor and onto the plaque in the lower level. The Sigma 10-20mm has 6 pointed sunstars from a 6 bladed aperture, and massive flare.
A LensCap Rally at the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria. The LensCap Rally is a day out with a Professional Photographer. There are set tasks and afterwards you can upload your photos to the site and have everyone comment on them. Its a great way to get out for the day, shoot loads of pics at interesting locations and meet other photo-mad people.
Little experiment with 60mm macro and Nikon TC-14E teleconverter giving your lens a 84mm effect.
Still takes sharp pictures and brings the subject closer from further away. Autofocus is intact. Ideal for underwater photographers, who can't afford a true 105mm macro lens..
Tokina lens cap taken perpendicular with 84mm macro setup. Look at large size to see plastic molding.

My sidekick and the lens cap of my new camera. Someone said I should do a picture of the camera I used for the original 110 days. I thought this was a nice contrast of the two. Day 128 of the project.
