SPURS CLEARLY SHOWING in this flight capture, and is very territorial, noisy and irritable, if you go near it will take to the air, and fly at speed directly at you, pulling out only at the last second, screeching. did-he-DO-it.

(length 28 Cm ) Please view large!

Good to see you visit, any comments are very appropriated indeed. ...Tomx

Found this beauty nesting in a dead palm tree, but do not normally in this area, so was very nice to see,it was giving me some high pitched whistles, and a quarrelsome screech, so new I was not wanted, and soon left her to it, after a few more shots.

Called a Senegal parrot only because it was first identified in that country, about 38 Cm in length, normally keeps to the top of tall trees so this was going to be my best opportunity of a close encounter, and a half descent image.

Have got so many more images to show, all the small birds, and they are small, and a lot of sunbirds, but am building up a store of local ones to show, will show about ten more then switch.

Thanks for your visit,it is appreciated, and if time please leave a comment.......Tomx

It was a dark and stormy night...no, wait -- that story is for another day.

It was a Saturday. Outside it was cold and snowy and icy and whatnot. I decided, on a whim, to clean my eyeglasses. Then I began to feel somewhat silly for no good reason, which was fun. So I got my camera and decided to have a bit of play-time -- very much against my nature, but what do you want for only 5 quid? :-P

Happy Chinese New Year! :D

I am pleased to have this image in EXPLORE! Thanks to you all!

Lens coats come in many different patterns depending on where you do your bird and wildlife photography. They offer rain protection and help breakup your camera lens from scaring your target.

Good Sunday morning everyone.

I would like very much to take a moment to reiterate about posting more than one image per day, that is all I see and that is all I will comment on, so the 2-3-4 or more will go unnoticed, I am sorry for that indeed, but it's all In have time for, please do not take offense and most of the time it is an oversight, so please forgive me.

Thank you again for stopping by and have a great and wonderful day.

"You bought ANOTHER lens??" No, it's a cup... tee hee!! :p

Just a quick snap to use as an example in another thread. Did not clean before, because I was in a hurry and was not trying to make something beautiful.

Panasonic 35-70mm F/2.8 (1st generation)

OM System 12-40mm F/2.8 II

The OM lens is slightly shorter at it's most compact, but is longer at it's most extended. The Panasonic, however, does not change size as it zooms.

Love exploring, taking pictures and seeing the true beauty through my lens.

Someone asked me lately what lenses do I use. Four of them from the first row are responsible for about 90% of all my photos.
