BLUE TIT INVASION !!! At home all my nest boxes have Blue Tits, so when they hatch out, will be over run with them, but they are so adorable!

SMALL and compact little bird, love watching them, they feed from the ground in pairs or a group, but one is always on a stem as a lookout, and they take it in turns, Resident all year round, see at Northforland, Margate, Kent.

Nikon W 150mm/5.6 large format lens on Copal 0 shiutter, mounted on a lens board.
Speedlight with grid left front, silver reflector right, speedlight with snoot directed at shutter dial, and speedlight with diffuser adjacent to back of lens.
Three inches in greatest dimension.
RAZORBILL, distinctive seabird, easily recognised at close range by its distinctive bill shape. Swims well, dives frequently, flies low over the water with whirring wings. Found again in large nesting cliff sights, including Skomer, a real joy to see, and one of my favorites !

This will be the last one of this majestic animal folks, thought I may get a better look at his prey, but still unable to I.D. his prey.
Had another very good day today with a few more predation images with the Raptors, so more to work for the future.

If I dont return to posting U.K birds soon, will be showing courtship displaying, while everybody else are showing baby birds. Have been going out, but it is a struggle after the Gambian beauties, but cant live for two weeks photography a year.

FORAGES by wading slowly in the shallows, cooperatively scything with slightly opened mandibles through the water. Sexes very similar,favours tidal inlets and creeks, spent many hours watching six of these, as they are not normally. in the area I visit.

A ground-dwelling bird, numbers swell in winter, from northern and upland districts, she came out of the scrub and posed so nice for me, it would have been rude, not to take its photograph.

SPURS CLEARLY SHOWING in this flight capture, and is very territorial, noisy and irritable, if you go near it will take to the air, and fly at speed directly at you, pulling out only at the last second, screeching. did-he-DO-it.

Another Machias Seal Island NB puffin tour on the weekend with Marilyn Wortman and Lise Bourgeois. We went over to Grand Manan early on Friday and spend the afternoon exploring and photographing fishing villages and scenery.
On Saturday, we met Nancy Rose and all went out to Machias Seal Island to see the puffins. Great weather and the seas were calm. Perfect weather, friends, and puffins... what else can one ask for ???
